Protest going on everywhere in the US right now (L.A., Columbus, NYC and Minneapolis)
Protests are good but I have zero sympathy for lowlife assholes who simply see this as an opportunity to steal a new TV and burn down people`s livelihood.
If the standard response was looters should be shot on sight, there would be no looters.

... Officer Bro was clearly not involved and just tried to do crowd controlling.
At some point in the seven minutes he could have easily told officer killer to take his knee of and put him in the car. I don't think he'll get charged with murder but he should be accountable for his lack of actions.

True. That's why the body cam shots of that time period between the two videos showing how he got on the ground is critical.
I don't think that's the issue. It's what he did for the next 7 minutes that is critical.

Meanwhile the mayor is out of his depth calling for the man(men) to be arrested and charged. That is the DA's job not the mayor's.

What the mayor should have said is: "Let the police and FBI do their job."
Tell me something. Do you espouse this when Trump makes similar suggestions...with no evidence like we have here - a fucking video?

Good for them but they must wonder what the fuck they are paying taxes for.
Their lives would have been in ruins if they depended on politicians and cops to do their jobs.
In as much ruins as George Floyd and others like him?

On another note, I wonder how tasty it would get if some of those looters came in their own ammo.

What the fuck does this have to do with the price of tea in China and why would you ask me such a stupid question?
Other than this case was essentially killing based on suspicion of fraud and your advocating vigilante death for suspicion of looting?

I have no problem with the "kneeler" getting the death penalty.
What part of this is so difficult to comprehend?
Anybody who thinks that I am sympathetic towards these cops should go get some mental therapy.

Here's the problem with this case and many others just like it.

It's very possible the cop wasn't racist and didn't give a shit what coloour the guy was. He could have just as easily been white, asian, whatever....

More an issue of bad policing, but because of the history of police brutality to black Americans, they can't view it any other way.

Getting testy. A hit dog will holler.

Perfectly legit question. Answer it accordingly without the huffing and puffing.

Fuck that concern over looting. No one agrees with it, but in no way, shape or form should looters be put on par with killers. Insured shit is likely to be replaced.

FLoyd ain't fcuking coming back!!!!! And best believe another is going to die like he did, if something isn't done about this bull shit!

And take out the racial component and leave the humanity in it. Why are these cops always given a free pass to kill citizens regardless of colour (remember Kelly Thomas?) and walk. Hold these unprofessional louts who don't deserve to carry badges and guns accountable. It can't be that hard. IN other professions, you get dealt with when you cross the line. Why not this one?

Far too many of these louts just hop on over to another county or whatever and get rehired to cause more mayhem.

Seemingly at the other end of the spectrum,
https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/28/us/tye-anders-midland-texas-police-trnd/index.html

No idea how justified their initial attempt to stop the guy but guy drove for two blocks after the sirens went on, pulled into a family driveway, sat in the car for 5 minutes before getting out. Seems the cops handled it appropriately even though the accused and family are trying to portray it as bad cop vs. black man.

I get young black men in the states being worried about cops but this guy's actions sure didn't help.

Sadly low pay, limited qualifications needed in many jurisdictions, and the attraction to power will lead to some cops like that.

Directing this stupid question at me doesn`t make sense unless you somehow think I am sympathetic towards these cops.

It is like someone posting about some gang rapes during the riots and you asking, yeah but was it as ruinous as Floyd?

Please get someone to explain this to you.

You may not be sympathetic to these killers but you're only here talking about looters for the most part.

How messed up is that? What kind of sick individual sees that fcuking video and is more worried about a burning building? I'm not surprised since Floyd's life was only worth a 10 or 20 dollar counterfeit bill!

Now you throw in gang rapes to claw back some credibility. Get lost with that BS. Where are the gang rapes?? Stick to your looter gripe.

"Arrest the killers and shoot the looters," was your wonderful contribution.

Let someone explain nuance to you.

Because I think one of the problems in the U.S, not hard to become a police officer. Even in Canada you only need grade 12 but have to pass a bunch of test, but in U.S I think it's not that tough, so what your left with is a bunch of unqualified donks running around with guns.
