So interesting factoid about why The Dude hated the Eagles,
“A lot of fans always wondered why this was. According to the film's musical consultant, T-Bone Burnett, The Dude, who considered himself to be a quintessential anti-war counterculture hippie, felt that the Eagles were too mainstream to be part of the counterculture. Songs like "Take It Easy" sold a sense of contentment with American life at a time when most hippies were pretty pissed off about things like Vietnam, and Richard Nixon's presidency. This was The Dude's viewpoint in the film.”
And while Jeff Bridges doesn’t dislike the Eagles the band was apparently still peeved about it,
