That was one of the greatest bands ever, too bad they were such a bunch of wankers and couldn't keep their egos in check.

Totally agree Marcus! But they've been that way since the beginning! Even with Liam and Noel doing seperate things now, they won't change.

So true, saw them live 11 times and every show was great. They were a "real" rock band who didn't give a fuck about critics, newspapers or anyone else. They weren't posers and were the real deal, unlike the phonies like U2 or Coldplay, Liam is and was the quintessetnial front man and Noel is a musical genius. I can't think of anyone who has written so many hit songs?

Excellent choices everyone!

I've seen them live twice and my current favourite is "The Shock of the Lightning."

"Stay Young," a b-side off "D'You Know What I Mean" and on "The Masterplan" CD is also fantastic.
