Apple/Mac are obviously superior products when so many attack it. I have seen nothing on this forum to equal peoples hate for a product! I have found over my longish life on this planet that people tend to attack anything of high quality they can't afford. The stupid thing is that it matters not one iota who uses what, and why anyone else should give a sh*t!
Yup.

Tell me - who would ignore every bad review and even a manufacturer's acknowledgement - to say the fault doesn't exist ??? So how do you define a moron - a non-Apple believer ?.
Tell me - has the Map App in the iPhone 5 been the ONLY software glitch in a product every released on earth?

Has EVERY computer, printer, operating system, camera, machine, car, plane, space shuttle, Boeing 747, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. off the assembly line been TOTALLY free of software glitches?

EVERY single product since the advent of the computer has NEVER EVER needed an upgrade to software?

I think you know the answer. But HOLY SH*T Batman when it's an Apple product, it's the end of the world from the non-Apple believer!!!

Give it a break already!

Origin of MORON - irregular from Greek mōros - foolish, stupid

I bought the newest 4th generation ipad recently. Apple is great on presentation, it's a sexy solid piece of hardware. I like it and I bought it because for the moment, Apple has an edge on number of apps (some that allow for basic web development). Other than that, I really don't see any reason to prefer an ipad over the competition or to pay premium for their glossy product. I also own an S3 android phone and covet it no less even though its plastic shell is far less sexy. Frankly, it has most of the same or equivalent apps of interest. I went with ipadto be safe since the impression I have is that many devs are adamant about having their apps available for all things Apple. If number of apps and app development on competitor tablets reaches par with the ipad, I'll opt for a tablet over the ipad in a future purchase.

Ultimately, one needs to give what product they're going to buy serious thought before purchasing.

They're the ones going to be stuck with it for awhile. So, they better make sure their purchase meets their needs.

Apple uses FoxConn to help create their products. Dell uses FoxConn to help create their products. In fact, A LOT of tech companies employ FoxConn to make their products.

Not so sure that Apple is as high quality as you claim. If that's the case, then so is Dell and everyone else and their FoxConn manufactured products.

TOTALLY agree with you!

Let me clarify my position. I DO NOT believe Apple is an inferior product like the non-Apple believers make it out to be. I just honestly think many non -Apple believers put them down because of the price.
I've seen it many times when Ford Taurus drivers talk about Bmw's or Mercedes!

Just to give the Apple defense league a breather and return to the thread....

I really like Evernote and it is available on all platforms. Not only is it handy for storing data from the 'net, e-mails, and user generated notes but it is instantly available from many platforms. I was in a meeting and recording notes on my tablet. Later while working at home, I was able to review my notes from the home PC via the Evernote.

There are a lot of good videos describing the use on Youtube.

I was looking for a car finder app before I hit the mall for holiday shopping. There are a lot available but many negative reviews over some of the free ones so I bought Car Finder AR. It worked great even in the mall. I was following the outside wings of the Sheridon Mall near 427 & Queensway. Usually I retrace my steps to get back to the car but this time I followed the Car Finder arrow through the middle of the mall and it worked great. The app will lock on to the car position as soon as the bluetooth connection to my car disappears which is handy.

I just got my first smart phone for xmas.
Can I pirate apps for it (Blackberry) by downloading torrents like for other stuff I get off the internet?
If so, suggestions about where?

O.

If you have been following Blackberry, you will realize that they are a week or two from offering a dramatically new O/S. I would wait for the new O/S which suppose to be good but not much is written about either software support of existing apps or available new O/S apps.

Btw, I didn't buy a Blackberry. I was given it for a christmas present.
Tons of people have them, and won't be throwing them away just because there's a new operating system coming out.
Is there any answer to my question?

O.
