I will never be “THIN”. I look horrible at the weight I am “suppose” to be.
I can go down about another 15lbs and still look normal and be at a healthier weight. But I would also be unhappy, at a gym 5 days a week for 2 hours, and would simply not enjoy some of the things I like now, like going out for dinner with friends, movies, etc as I eat snacks and stuff. I would hate all meals, etc
I was bigger and many know I lost 30lbs last year. I did that simply by cutting out the things I didn’t need or want. Like sugar in my many cups of coffee. It works for me.
My doctor is happy where I am weight wise. I have two conditions that affect weight. So being the weight I am now, is actually being on top of those illnesses too. So this is what makes me happy. I don’t care what anyone says, my happiness and my doctors approval is all that matters at the end of the day.
Having said all that, I know what it is like to be fat shamed. Well I should say attempted fat shaming. It doesn’t really affect me. If the best line you can come up with is calling me fat, I just think you are weak. Bring something better or don’t bother because I will easily chew you up and spit you out.
The idea that is it okay to fat shame because it affects everyone because of the drain on the medical system, fuck off with that shit. Like seriously, stick a dick in your pie whole. There are so many other things that affect the health care system, like smoking for one. Or all the shot up victims of gun violence. Leave people and their cheese cake alone. This is what hospital and doctors are for. People who use that line are just trying to justify their bullying and need to be noisy busy bodies in everyone’s life. My fat doesn’t affect you so eat it!
I do agree that some people do play the victim card by ‘feeling’ fat shamed when really they are not. It is an internal thing. They don’t like their weight, so they project on to others what they feel about themselves. They then make themselves victims and that is something that needs to stop as well.
I like the clip though. It was a good “makes you think” response.
I think one thing that needs to be added to the topic of conversation is how things are stacked against us here. When you have McDonlads and Tim’s and Wendy’s putting on .99$ drink days with sugary pops and ice creams, but water cost $3.00, what do you expect people to drink?
