Anyone else listen to Bob (Bobcat) Mcowan on there drive home
I`m addicted and listen everyday.
Hes by far the best sports personality in TO.
I just love it when he calls people Pant-Loads.

I hated the dumbass at first but have grown to appreciate him. I took him way too seriously at first and have learned to take him for what he is. He does know his stuff and definitely has his strong opinions but more than anything he is entertaining. Pant loads lol. I hate the way he calls everyone by their last name all the time. I think its a celebrity thing they do. I dont believe he's at the level to be doing that though.

McCown's a pro. He's tongue-in-cheek nasty, knows his stuff (and what he doesn't know, he tap-dances around brilliantly) and his round-table guests love going on the show. He's also far more articulate than most of the local radio sports talk-show hosts I've heard across the continent.

Of course, the guy's not perfect. He is an (ugh!) Ohio State fan...

Bob McCowan is arrogant as hell, but I listen to Primtime Sports every night for the drive home , and once i get home i watch it on sportsnet, and then I watch it on sportsnet west.....They have some good guests on the show like Peter King every week and some good stories.

McCowan & Cox sometimes go back and forth like a couple of old ladies. I disagree with alot of the things he says especially with hockey, but i do admit to watching his show on Sportnet.

I think Steven Brunt adds some common sense & humility to the show something that McCowan lacks !

On a side note i am a fan of Off the Record, which can be quite good depending of course on who they have as guests.

I've got mixing feelings on McCown. He is pretty full of himself, but because he is fairly intelligent it's not totally unjustified. It still doesn't mean he has to show it. Pompous but articulate and as such interesting.

I just wish he wouldn't wait forever in between sentences.

i dont mind swirsky, hes alright, barb degulio is friggen solid. what i miss the most are those commercials or ads that would make fun of pat marsden on the morning show, those things were fucken funny.

Anyone listens to Jim Rome?

Thankfully we don't get Rome in the Toronto market on standard radio anymore (I hope we don't wake up the Clones with this ).

I listen to the FAN pretty much all the time when I'm driving and can't really find a timeslot that really bugs me. McCowan is good as long as you don't take him too seriously...as should be the case with all of them. Swirsky has been an interesting change of pace. At times he's a little cheese ballish, but for the most part I find it entertaining. The 2:30 to 2:40 slot with Barb remains my favourite time of the day. I'll even flip on the radio at work for that.

Hey Mojo, I was listening that day when Swirsk and Barb were having their playboy/stripclub/porn discussion.

I'd have to agree with her, I just don't believe it.
The guy travels with athletes and other sports media personel, and on the road for weeks at a time, and he's never opened a mag, watched spanktravision, or even gone into a club? I mean come on.

On a side note, I'm thinking about stories of sports celebs at clubs, anyone got any.

I saw Ron McLean at SG once. Could barely walk when he finally left. He never got any dances but he was buying some for the people at his table. He did however get kicked in the head by a dancer who got a little overzealous with the pole. He laughed it off and gave her $100.

Abosolutely has nothing to do with Cox not on Sportsnet anymore. Cox has been on TSN Sunday mornings for years - all the while on the FAN (even after the Rogers takover). The FAN continually has TSN personalities on the radio show. Radio is a different avenue.

I like listening to him too but I gotta say that I hate watching him on television (the Sportsnet simulcast). He's gotta do away with those freakish shades.

He looks too much like a Howard Stern Wannabe on TV....

I also disliked listening to him at first...he sounded too much like my know it all father..... I have listened to him for a long time now, and I agree that he is very knowledgeable and opinionated, but I can only take him in small doses..

I usually listen to the fan when driving but when swirsky comes on I change the station. He's just annoying.
