It's the only social media I have left, I uninstalled the others a long time ago.
So when I log onto Facebook I noticed it's been very slow lately and sure enough, I did a search and here someone explains why.
They want to push us onto our mobile devices to push ads, track us and get info off of our phones.
Whereas on PC you can use adblockers and you're static, the manipulation is crazy.

Thank you for posting this! Facebook keeps my computer fan running at high speed nonstop. I've been considering getting a new laptop just to combat this because it annoys the shit out of me.

My facebook runs slow on my PC too, but I also have a very good Ad Blocker, so I thought that was the issue making it slow down. It loads slow. I don't like using my cell phone for internet or FB, the screen is too small, and I don't like them sticking their nose in my business and it hurts my neck looking down at the phone. LOL

When I close my browser it's set to clear everything and still the same.
What Adblockers do you use?
Which browser do you use?
If it is Chrome, the "Delete Data Site" setting won't clear the browser primary cache.
You'd have to manually do it.
I use the following:

I'm using Windows 11 and Chrome and runs smooth and fast. No issue at all.

1.7GHz Intel & 16gb ram.

Maybe try manually clearing the entire history, cookies, etc. and running a virus and malware/trojan scan.
