Nah, I am not defending Max, just noting the other World Champs have done the same. When Nico won his Championship Lewis did all he could to back up Nico so he would not finish second. I am stunned Max acted like a 2 year old throwing his toys from his pram. He looked like a wanker. Bet in hindsight Max will regret his actions based on the blow back from his fans and the media. Max is no longer racing for anything. He won the WDC, the Team already won Constructor. All that remains to fight for is the #2 spot in the WDC. It is clear Max does not care who comes second...but Red Bull does. Maybe now Max knows that the Team wants Checo to finish in P2 to show just how dominate RB was in 2022.

One more example of World Champs being cunts - 1997 - MS trying to run JV off the road in Jerez. In the end MS lots all of his points that year and got stuck in the gravel. JV won the WDC either way.

This is your original statement. And I am telling you none of the drivers you mentioned has done anything as egregious as Max did when they had already won the Championship. Yes, Lewis would have passed Russell if he could. What's wrong with that? They are racers after all and Lewis hasnt won a race all year.

I see now you criticize Max which you didnt do in your initial comment. Someone summarized all the previous times Sergio had helped Max. But when it came time for Max to help Sergio after he Max had already clinched the Championship, he declined. Nothing as selfish has ever happened in any sport. Ever.

Guess again. You missed the Prost Senna years at McLaren. Nothing new about F1 Drivers being selfish, all part of the game. If they drove around the track like angels not one of them would be in F1.

You do know that Senna smashed into Prost to ensure he won the WDC.

Fast forward a few years, MS drove into Damon Hill to ensure he won the WDC.

1997 MS tried to take out JV to win the WDC

TSN needs to get the times right for the F1 broadcasts.
Their schedule said 855 for start and I turn on for the prerace show at 810 and race already started.

Oh no, Toto Wolf is going to complain, Carlos Sainz suckered in Lewis Hamilton.

It is too early in the race to push the car to it's limit. Knowing that Ferrari tends to finish meekly, Hamilton should have known that. All Wolf's hectoring has done is make Red Bull faster.

Guess RB in the end did not want Sergio to finish second in the WDC after all. They have made crap pit calls today. RB pitted Sergio way too early at the start of the race

Not much Max could have done unless RB wanted him to defend like an animal in P2 while gifting the win to Sergio
