I can't believe some of the jaded logic being spewed here, do you really expect David Suzuki to live like a mendicant friar? He knows his purpose has a message and knows how to work the system, good for him. Levant is just wasting oxygen.
Eza is such a stand up reporter.............. Yeah right this is a guy who had about five or six libel suites filed against him and numerous Canadian Broadcast Standards Council violations filed against him as well everything from Code of Ethics by using a Spanish vulgarity on air to nearly nine minutes of on-air racist hate-speech targeting Romani People to inaccurate information on the talk show.

I'm surprise he still has a job cause he is nothing more than a liability for his employer with a political agenda of his own.

You failed to address why I think he is a dickhead.....and a self serving one at that.....
Only you can know why you think that, or explain it. You certainly did neither in the post in which you first said it. Perhaps you'd like to take another, more thoughtful run at making your 'case'.

On just one of the off-the-point things you did say: Why should Suzuki—or anyone—take any less than the maximum payment they can extract from a profit-making media conglomerate for agreeing to build their audience by submitting to the hyperbolic and demeaning blatherings of a demagogue like Levant? Are you saying Sun-TV deserves charity?

The good thst he does for the environment far outwieghs sharing landownership with an oil company.

Did you know that he prefers to do video conferencing when possible to reduce his carbon footprint?

How do you expect him to invest his money there are very few ways to invest without being associstef with oil, banks or other big corportstions.

He is wealthy but lets not forget that he made that money educating people about science and the environment.

Has he made mistakes? Sure. But I think when you weigh his contributions to what he takes he is in an elute group and most of us are not qualified to cast stones.

Btw do we kniw any details of the investment like what percentage he owns and how much control he has?

If he owns enough to have a say in how things are done maybe he can steer it in an enviromentally friendly way.

He tells people to act one way and does the exact opposite in his private life with multiple large homes, a boat [which he admitted to as his guilty pleasure on the CBC radio a while back] 5 kids and who knows what else. Much like Al Gore and his monster home or that Branson twat who has his own Island and a business that involves sending people into space or those Republicans and tele evagilists who preach about jebus and family values while being balls deep into man ass. Or Ezra Levant talking about freedom and taking the Sun Entertainment line against the legialization of pot. Or for that matter all of them who complain about the nanny state unless it is about the weed

"In March 2008, Richard Branson hosted an environmental gathering at his private island, Necker Island, in the Caribbean with several prominent entrepreneurs, celebrities, and world leaders. They discussed global warming-related problems facing the world, hoping that this meeting will be a precursor to many more future discussions regarding similar problems. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales, and Larry Page of Google were in attendance."

I'll bet you they didn't swim there or take wind powered boats. Whats next, a gathering to fight gay marriage at a bathhouse on Castro?

Fuck them all. However at least I won't defend two faced cunts just because I happen to agree with their positions on an issue.
Wow, Suzuki has a boat. Considering one of his homes is on Salt Spring Island on the west coast that is just inconceivable. How dare he. We should have told him to stop at 2 kids, wtf.

What's with bringing Branson and Gore into this thread, more dust to obscure your silly points.

Don't bet the house, you'll lose. Breath when you post, it helps.

Suzuki doesn't try to shame the average canadian for theor lifestyle choice. He deserves the same respect. He has done nothing out of the orsinary having a boat, children and investing are perfectlt normal things for peoplee to do. You can ve supportive of the environment without being a live off the grid hermit.

Anyone notice the OP C-M has had nothing to add after his C&P has been blown out of the water as little more than small man lies?

Suggesting canada-man thinks he's Ezra, if he meant this video time-waster to be his missing-in-action reply.
We all know C-M didn't spend 56 minutes watching this. Dr Moore changed his stripes years ago and is now acting as a paid for spokesman for the nuclear energy industry, GMO industries, and international logging interests. His connection with Greenpeace has long ago ended and not that amicably. Levant even showed a clip of Suzuki talking about GMOs and claim Suzuki is anti GMO, when the video clearly shows is all he wants is for us to slow down with the science.

Its the hypocracy I am against. I dont care how much money anyone makes....more the better is the rule. It is the hypocracy. He leaves a huge carbon footprint, co-owns an island with an oil company, has more kids than average family when he states canada should limit the amount of immigrants it lets in because we are overpopulated (affecting environment). etc etc.....dont get lost in the money dept....it is the hypocracy.....
No he shouldnt live like a hermit but he should set an example of HOW to be environmentally concious if that is what butters his bread......

Actually yeah. If somebody tells other people how to live I expect that person to live in a similar manner. He doesn't. End of story.

Christ you are a dumb fuck.

Breeding like some fundy, owning multiple large properties to the point where you need a boat [and he claimed it as a guilty pleasure not a neccecity] while going on about who global warming is a real danger is hypocracy. Hypocracy is a bad thing. It would be a bit like finding out that Ezra Levant is on wealfare. How the fuck can't you understand that. It isn't as if Suzuki can claim ignorence in the effects his lifestyle is having on the planet. Nor can he claim he doesn't believe his behavior has an impact.

Surely the eco movement can find a spokesmen who actually walks the walk.

It would be like someone who goes on calling for making prostitution illeagal and considering it akin to rape while fucking escorts all the time.

It is like someone who argues for much higher taxes yet uses every trick in the book to reduce their own taxes

It is as mentioned before like someone who rants about how god hates fags and is ball deep in men all every weekend.

Someone who works against spoucal abuse while using his wife and kids like punching bags

Someone who goes on about how people must not eat unhealthy food while living on McDs or the importance of exercise while getting none.

The person who publicly comes out against steroid use in a very public and consistant manner but is absolutely swimming in gear.

As for your second comment. Maybe you should be the one who breaths when you post.
Branson and Gore and more illustrative examples of what Suzuki does and further puts light on how hypocraitical it is. A perfectly cromulent thing to do.
Also you missed the context where I extended the examples to outside the eco movment to point out that we see it everywhere.
Only a retarded policeman would think it was dust to obscure points. It doesn't obscure anything, it shines a big bright light on how fucked up his behavior is. Well for anyone who doesn't have a child like faith in the dude.

Don't bet the house? What bet? What are you on about. Odd that in a post that has already been edited once for grammar national socialism.

Clearly much of the eco movement is happy with him and so are so many others with all the awards and accolades he receives, and isn't that the measuring stick.

Drawing parallels between him and wife beaters and fag haters, really? Drama queen much.

So how many houses and children should he be allowed to have?

Those five children you so begrudge him are grown ups who have contributed well to the society they live in. They aren't feeding off the tit of the government. You're still on this oil company thing. Clearly you didn't read the rebuttal which explain the error of that claim? Clearly not. Why does anyone post stuff for you if you don't even read them and learn something useful?
