Women golfers and tennis players lean towards becoming "influencers" on social media. If they have enough followers they can make some decent money in their post-professional careers. Italian tennis player camila_giorgi_official (on twitter) won the Canadian Open tennis a couple of years ago and has some hot fashion photos.
My son plays competitive tennis. In the winter he plays at same club in Laval where Leyla ended playing when she was rejected from Tennis Canada team at 15. Her dad took over. At one point he sold the family car so she could attend an important tournament. She lost. The family was living in an appartement raking public transit. They persisted.
Eugenie came from a rich family who could afford sending her to Florida academy at a young age. But down the road we must admit she prefers being beautiful (which she is) and having it easy.
There can be a high cost mentally to playing professional tennis...Very few have makeup to succeed.
Most of these players have very similar physical capabilities. The ones that reach the top have that ''it'' factor.
Eugenie was ranked 5th in the world at one point.
Let me ask you a question. Do you think Leyla Fernandez will ever best that?
Forgotten till now. I remember she was about to become "it" a while ago but the rumors I remember was that she had an attitude problem. Quebec used to have lotsa beautiful women. Don't know how they stack up these days. Not that it makes much difference to me at this point.
