You have to go for personal gain. This progressive stuff isn’t working. Their idea of what is good for everybody is good for nobody.

Dealt a good hand or not, we are all adults, nobody is going to pick you up and save you. Things were much worse for the average man pre-war industrial period. This comfort we have is a relatively new thing. All it’s saying is you can’t become a liberal arts major or slack off in life and still be able to buy a house and live comfortably.
I don't have to. It is a personal choice. If not for the fact that most rich people value societal health over short term personal gain, we would all be much worse off.

Actually, have you heard the expression:" When the tide comes in, all ships rises". A more equal society is a safer and more productive society, hence beneficial to all.

Quick question to people in chat as I don’t work in Toronto. What are high paying jobs in Toronto and what is considered a top 1 percent salary and what would the title be.

I just can imagine the highest earners in Toronto making close to even the median in Manhattan. People keep saying they make a lot in here but doing what? I just find it hard to believe. Is it just older people or retirees who have built up 7/8 figure savings? That would make sense.

Not trying to make fun but genuinely curious.
your far beyond 'curious' penis parker. Just because you only make $20 per handjob at the local truck stop doesnt mean there arent a lot of successful people around. Canada has the 9th highest GDP in the world. which is pretty impressive considering they have the lowest population in the top 11 countries and the next smallest population is Italy with a lower GDP and 20 million more people.

Exactly, the tide is the economy and we are the boats. If you’re a US citizen, you have to hope that he can make America stronger economically (infrastructure investments, tariffs, lower taxes for companies to come in and create higher paying jobs) - yes I know these are all controversial.

All boats will rise and some will rise much higher than others (the wealth disparity you speak about). However put yourself in a good position and you will benefit when this tide rises.

While socialism aims to raise everyone collectively, if poorly managed or overly rigid, it can overwhelm individual initiative, innovation, and efficiency. Who wants this.?

The tide isn’t socialism and redistributing wealth. That’s the equivalent of Tsunamis where you see the water receed and then just come back and wipe everything out.
While communism has not proven itself to be successful, a socialistic modified capitalism seem to be working very well.

The problem with a naked capitalistic system as in USA, is that there are large inefficiencies caused by the large inequalities. Crime, drug use, unemployment, uneducation and incarceration. A large percentage of the citizenship is not productive, but instead a burden on the productive sector.

I continue to say it’s because of Autism which he has admitted he has and I stand by that. However he is also one of the biggest trolls in the world. Someone could have bet him that he couldn’t do a nazi salute during his speech and he said fuck it I’ll make it happen. I do not think he’s a Nazi though.
None of those three things are mutually exclusive, you realize.

We are all pieces of trash to him, rightfully so compared to what he’s achieved. He either let his autism come out or trolled us.
I have to admit it is refreshing to see someone so blatantly all in on hierarchy and submission to authoritarianism.
So many people try to hide it, but you're just right up front with the "he is superior to us" stuff.

I mean, look at this.

I don’t want trickle down. I want America to make you beg.
That's really refreshing in its honesty.
(Or it was until you chickened out and edited your post to remove it.)

How badly did you fail grade 10 history?

Trump inherited Obamas economy and crashed it before covid hit. This time he's inheriting a much worse economy and knowingly crashing it.

Reaganomics has been in place for 40 years and things are measurably worse.

And as part of your reply, please tell us the origins of the Laffer curve.

How do we solve for those inefficiencies. I don’t think socialism or socialistic modified capitalism can work at scale. Can you explain how the US might implement and benefit from this?

This is a class war. You are right. It was never about skin color.
I think we are aware of that.
You have chosen your side in that war, quite clearly.

Sorry, Bro. I am never going to embrace Corporatism and Fascism.
I think he is fine with that.
Punishing the enemy seems to be one of the advantages he feels he gets by being on the pro-oligarch/pro-plutocrat
side of the class war.

Your comment regarding the poor and the elite are completely opposed to MAGA ideology which hates the elites.
I don't think Parker has said he is MAGA.
I think he said MAGA was a useful crazy to attack the leftists. (Was that him? I think that was him.)
He's quite clearly come out on the "The Elite deserve to Rule and you should do whatever it takes to join them or at least support your superiors as a good submissive cog in the hierarchy" side of things.

Then why the racism towards immigrants as we saw in response to Elon and Vivek's support for H1B?
Why then did Elon's support anti-semitic statements that alleged that Jews were fomenting hatred of white people?
I could go on with examples.
I think you're missing the point.
PeterParker1000 is saying the racism doesn't matter to him.
Parker
is there for the "Elites must rule us" / "The Enlightenment was a mistake" / "You don't understand the benefits of a dictator" kind of thing.
If Elon wants to be racist or sexist, that's just not relevant.
He is an Elite and should be allowed to do what he wants.
He's superior and therefore must be obeyed.

Up until 1970, real wages in USA were steadily increasing., Since 1970, real wages in USA have not increased.
Yeah. It is also the pensions in the private sector that have declined. Total compensation.
Men are more likely to be in the private sector.
For Canada, real wages for young men peaked in 1977. Workplace pensions for men peaked around the same time.

Negative. I doubt USA will be able to drag itself out of the problems. Maybe some less populated states will be able to show progress, but the big population centers are hopeless cases. Top many uneducated, unemployable and often incarcerated people. It is a great shame, because it is a serious drag on the economy and the quality of life.

There is, statistically, a less than 1% chance you out earn me, and a 2.5% chance you have a higher net worth. I'd just prefer to live in a society that functions, vs one where I'm spending money on fences and security to keep the starving masses off my property.

Eat the rich, tax the churches, fuck the police.
Are you American, though?

I think those percentages would be different based on Canada and US.

But it is a society where those on the higher end have less power over people's lives.
There are LOTS and LOTS of people who would HAPPILY be less rich if it meant they had more power.

The RELATIVE difference in wealth is what is important.
As Peter pointed out earlier, he wants you to BEG.
He could be 10 times richer than he is now, but if you aren't begging, it doesn't mean as much.

There are a lot of people who care about elitism and class inequality, and I am not one of them. I believe we are responsible for ourselves and our community

Lol what a loser. That guy isn’t worth a reply. Posting % probability on an anonymous escort forum. Probably works at tim hortons. That’s a popular place up there no? Lol

You seem to care about them a whole lot actually.
They appear to be the core belief of your politics.

Yea the idea that you guys talk so much and care about it is so weird.

I can’t help but not comment to say how stupid it is. It sucks me in everytime. You guys are men right? I’m talking about you Valca and Squeezer. Not women? (which is fine but just checking). If so I’ll shut up about it. I understand where you are coming from if you are. It’s hard to tell on these forums.

No, I am not. One of the pillars of Fascism or Corporatism, as Mussolini called it, is the tight cooperation between large corporations and Government, as demonstrated by the inauguration.
Democrats raised over $1 billion this past election cycle. Republicans raised $394 million. You do the math about which party is the chosen one for billionaires.. Trump had these billionaire CEO's there because he wanted to make a statement to the world. That the US is open for business. This talk of fascism is ridiculousness.

Interestingly MAGA seems to at the very least subconsciously apply this rule to gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, immigration status or identity.
Looks like it really is just some form of elitism presented as populism.

Trump actually may have got more from the outside than Harris did.
I doubt the 394M figure is correct, because Elon himself gave 250M.

He did no such thing. In the 3 years leading up to COVID the US growth rates were 2.5%, 2.9% and 2.5%. But more importantly real median incomes were rising faster than at any time in the 21st century.
