Edmonton is asking the NHL to investigate...they claim they signed Nylander the day before Washington did. Now they claim they lost out on other FA because they thought they had him signed.
I guess Washington offered more money after the fact.

Well you would have to think the Oilers don't want a guy who doesn't really want to be there forced to play in EDM??? Wait ... Pronger didn't ... No, that was Pronger's wife who had the problem. Anyways, I think they are looking for compensation in the form of a pick or Ovechkin. Well, at least the pick.

I think it's time for Lowe to go. They got nothing for Pronger and the drafts have been mediocre at best. I still don't get giving up on Lupul so quickly. Plus they are locked into an above average at best old goalie who cashed in on a lucky streak.

my guess is K-Lo can't do anything if Nylander didn't personally sign any contract.

i remember this happened with Mike Vernon years ago- and that was the deciding factor... the trade was made by the agent, but Vernon didn't sign, therefore, the trade was void.
