A couple additional thoughts: The guy's a public person, and if you're a public person and you lose your temper and lash out at social media trolls in a very public way, you're an idiot.

Secondly, Canadian players have more representation on the Florida Panthers than any other nationality. The guy just insulted a big chunk of the players on a team he co-owns.

Both Cifu and Viola are involved, skimming investors is not a good look for the NHL. This now puts the Florida Panthers in financial hot water. Bettman wants all Canadian teams eliminated, it would put a burr up his ass if MLSE/Morgan Stanley offered the Panthers a bailout.
