Well I couldn't watch any of Game 2, but I'd say of Buffalo keeps losing defensemen, they're in big trouble. The TV analyst who say that Fitzpatrick & Campbell can just step in for Numminen & Kalinin are on crack.
In Game 1, I noticed the Sabers going up the middle or making diagonal passes inside their own zone way to often - either overconfidence or frustration with the dead boards? I wonder if that continued in Game 2? I think they need to keep it mostly along the walls for the next couple of games until they learn a few things about the Canes' defensive setup.
Is it possible that the Sabers got into an overly defensive mode protecting those leads against Ottawa? I liked them better when they kept pilling on the pressure like they did in most of the first round games. In general they seemed too cocky in the belief that they can always get that goal they need.
