Sophistry will get you nowhere, (and beware of the wrath of God!).

Don't you understand that God wrote the commandments in stone, so that sleazy lawyers like yourselves would be unable to mis-interpret them.

The 6th commandment does not say: "Thou shall not kill unless so ordered by the president of the USA". It says: "Thou shall not kill" Full stop.

The 10 commandments are for people, not for God. God is omnipotent and set the rules for all living things. If you paid attention, you would notice that the 6th commandment says: "Thou shall not kill", not: "I shall not kill".

Pay attention!

The murderer adopted a philosophy wherein beheadings and other atrocities are commonplace . he likely hoped to kill more victims than he did...bullet to his head..the sooner the better..the guy is a total waste of human skin

If only one innocent man should be put to death by mistaken identity. The whole system of the death penalty, should be abolished.

Actually, the proper translation is "Thou shall not commit murder". Death penalty is right there in the Bible, for quite a few missteps.

Old testament or New ?
Here's a better perspective on the bible. From a Jew no less.

No, it says in stone: "Thou shall not kill". Sleazy lawyers are everywhere, bending the rules.

Death penalty always a bad idea. You kill the guy and then years later somone comes along to invent DNA testing and then, whoops! Not guilty after all..
Yes, Probably not the case here... Even his lawyer says he did it, but there may be more to the story than has emerged so far. Death is a shade too final and whether we like it or not the guy played a key role in an historic event that we may want to know more about some day.
To throw in a reference to what is admittedly a mystery of a different proportion, what might we know now had Oswald had not been shot by Ruby?

The death penalty in simple terms is barbaric, if you can't deal with a life time of incarceration, well then you are one of the ones looking for revenge, which is not far from barbaric.

Jcpro is correct, the Hebrew term is best translated "Thou shall do no murder."

Bad translation is not improved by yelling about your child.

The Jewish lawyers managed to fuzz up the Hebrew text, how surprising is that?? They had to find a way; they killed the son of God.

God chiseled: "Thou shall not kill" on the stone tablets. End of story. Beware of the wrath of God if you misquote!!

So then, would you consider the execution, of an innocent man, murder ?
