an example of an anti-intellectual, ignorant culture of the U.S.A. and they wonder why they are lagging behind the rest of the developed world in education, science, maths, geography, literacy, etc

And many are completely uneducated and stupid because due to their beauty they've never had to fend for themselves in anything. Some dumbass is always willing to help the pretty girl hoping she'll suck his dick.
making fun of the average American,s lack of world knowledge, is like shooting fish in a barrel.....in fairness though i bet alot of Canadians wouldnt know that Budapest is the capital of Hungary..but we sure know that France is a country..
Before we start picking on Americans' lack of knowledge about the rest of the world, maybe it's worth examining how knowledgeable we Canadians are (and I'm not just talking about people from Toronto, but also those who come from small towns or villages).
After all, it stands to reason that people from small towns/villages (among both Canadians and Americans) are likely to be less educated and more ignorant about the rest of the world than those who live in large urban centres.
Comments like these only betray an anti-Americanism that speaks more to a lack of confidence in our own Canadian identity than anything about the US. Personally, I don't feel we Canadians need to bash Americans to be proud of who we are as a nation or people.
