Let's give credit where credit's due - Giguere played his ASS off. Just a case of the hot goalie putting a team on his back and going with it. Cujo was adequate - the future Hall of Famers on the Wings just didn't get the job done, simple as that.

I agree, nothing wrong with Josephs GGA. Where was Yzerman, Hull, Shanahan, Federov, Lindstrom, Robataille, etc etc? Hot or now, that a lot of gun to shut down.

I guess they were shooting blanks. Or maybe they ran into "Tank J.S. Giguere"

All of them should haul out the tapes of the '97 final and watch themselves. Yes, they were six years younger, but they were also hungry! They'd be (or damn well should be) embarrassed at the way they played against the Ducks...

I agree Speedo,in the immortal words of 1970's era Detroit coach
Wayne Maxner......"Brutal,really brutal, theres not much else you can say"
I think that pretty much sums it up.

The Mighty Max ! -- I remember him from across the river, coaching the junior Windsor Spitfires in their 1979 OHL best-of-27 series against London...
