Was wondering that myself. CNN reported fire started on the EXTERIOR of the building.

Concrete? Nope

Steel? Nope

Glass? Nope

Plastic mouldings around glass - yes, but not enough to cause such flames.

Maybe some terrorist soaked it in gasoline, who knows.

Sprinkler systems are not designed to put out fires, the purpose of a sprinkler system is to cool and slow a fire. There is also the water availability situation. The fire was not in the GTA, it was in Dubai.

There was serious concern that it would. Did you bother to listen to the: BBC, CBC, CNN, NBC, FOX NEWS, all of them had fire experts on this afternoon stating that it was a real possibility.

I suppose that because Danish State Radio didn't say so that means it was an Anglo-Canadian-American conspiracy?

It certainly was a spectacular fire. The building is less than a decade old and so should have had all the post 9/11 fire safety code improvements.
