Emailed a few places in the east end and asked about a day rate 10 - 2 pm
The Edward Village Valhalla Drive Markham. $120 + tax
Monte Carlo Inn Downtown Markham. Warden/Dennison $88.50 + tax

Day rates are rarely a deal. Often you can find a similar rate for the entire night online. In my limited experience a day rate is usually at least 50 and often 75% of the going whole evening rate.

I checked downtown hotel rates yesterday on Expedia out of curiosity, and surprised to find (given high vacancy rates) that prices are as high as they would normally be this time of year.

https://toronto.idaypass.com I just came across this site . Must be a new development since CoVid. Marriott hotels. 6 am - 6 pm and snacks provided ! Haven't booked myself . Has anyone tried ? Enough time for multiple hook ups. Looks like you have to book a day or 2 in advance . You can cancel with 24 hrs notice . Otherwise a late cancellation fee.
