is iphone in the lead now I really don't know what to buy next and I am due for a new phone...
The question is not who is in the lead but what phone has the most features and functions best suited to your needs. I've decided to go with the BlackBerry Z30 as I don't really care about millions of apps, but like the size of the screen, the expected battery life, Micro USB & Micro HDMI ports and from what many people say is the best, most intuitive touch screen keyboard available.is iphone in the lead now I really don't know what to buy next and I am due for a new phone...
I agree but suggest this comparison that has ratings by actual users plus the prices: http://smartphones.findthebest.com/The question is not who is in the lead but what phone has the most features and functions best suited to your needs. Here's a link which gives you specifications for 5 of the top smartphones.
I fixed your post.It really depends on what you do with your phone - if all you do is text, phone, surf any phone will do, if you do apps and media you should go with a Galaxy S4. Blackberry is dead, windows phones are dead..... there are only two OS choices that make any sense.

Actually it's more likeI fixed your post.

Blackberry is dead, windows phones are dead..... there are only two OS choices that make any sense, Android for dorks and those who can't afford a data plan and Apple.

I can just feel the love around us in this thread!Actually it's more like
The iKool-Aid is potent amongst the needy spoon fed tech challenged fanbois......![]()
So far once again iPhone is on top for bench marks speeds Leaving all others manufactures scratching there heads asking themselves how to make a phone as fast as iPhone. Maybe if samsung focus on making phones that matter rather than producing cheap plastic gimmicky phones with loaded dices when it comes to benchmark tests than they might be a contender. The thing I see with android that I don't like is there no uniformity with there operating system cause if you look at all the manufactures of android they tend to have different operating systems and the different features which is mainly gimmicks to sell there phones then you have Eco system and the sub Eco systems like Samsung App Store which is a copy of apple ecosystem Then you got jk shin with his presentations that's enough to make me not to want a android http://m.ibtimes.co.uk/iphone5s-fastest-smartphone-suggest-benchmarks-geekbench-iphone5-515226.htmlI would wait until the Nexus 5 comes out this month to decide. The iPhone 5s is more of the same (i.e. incremental updates and fluff design/aesthetics changes).
If you want buy a 64 GB iPhone 5S outright, you're looking at over $1,000 or over $500 on a 2 year plan. I don't care how good it is, that's an outrageous amount for a smartphone. Besides it will probably be outdated as the iPhone 6 running on iOS 8 will likely be out by next summer. So far once again iPhone is on top for bench marks speeds Leaving all others manufactures scratching there heads asking themselves how to make a phone as fast as iPhone. Yes, but with a high speed processor - it crashes faster than other smart phones ! The processing speed is a sad commentary. Does it get you a better display - no -S4 is much bigger with 20% better resolution. How about camera ? No S4 is ~ 40% more resolution with advanced features such as image stabilization. More communications interfaces ? - No S4 has both an IR blaster & NFC.Then there's this bug that's causing the 5S to crash and randomly reboot at twice the rate of older phones.
They must have seen you coming for that price. I paid no where near $500. As for the supposed crash, still waiting for the first crash ever and been using iPhones for years. It's a case of the stuff like this gets the headlines and little more.If you want buy a 64 GB iPhone 5S outright, you're looking at over $1,000 or over $500 on a 2 year plan. Just quoting prices from Rogers and Bell. They must have seen you coming for that price. I paid no where near $500. As for the supposed crash, still waiting for the first crash ever and been using iPhones for years. It's a case of the stuff like this gets the headlines and little more.
As generally more technical driven than loyalty demonstrated by Apple fans - I don't think Android phones will ever increase in value. Naturally as soon as I give my old iPhone away I see the following headline:They must have seen you coming for that price. I paid no where near $500. Out-of-date "vintage" iPhones are being sold on eBay for more than £1,000 as fanbois yearn for the good old days when Apple was golden.
Another factor for the Android/ Apple evaluation.
