Downtown hotels

I’ll be in Toronto for business in October, and I’m planning to stay at the Fairmont hotel downtown for a week. I’ve done a search on this site (excellent material by the way) and made arrangements with Toronto’s Sexual Diva Bobbi. I don’t want to spend all my time with working girls, and I’d like to see what I can turn up by free-styling (a smile, a wink, “can I buy you a drink?�)

My question is - where do the ladies hang out? Are some bars better than others at drawing the fair sex, or - are there specific places where the ladies go to meet men?

As an example, when I travel to Las Vegas, there are certain hotels that are better than others for picking up women. The Rio hotel, just off the strip has the Voodoo Lounge, where both working girls and the locals hang-out. By the way, I hate Vegas. The average cost for a decent evening outcall is $400 USD. And the attitudes are crap.

I was in Crocodile Rock last night on my way back to the hotel, and for a bar that has a reputation as a meat market, last night someone must have hidden the filet mignon! The only 2 attractive women were occupied by the bouncers.

I don't think there are any specific places that women go to meet men. I don't think there is any one panacea.

What age range are you looking for?

For the 20 something crowd, I guess you could try the same old same old John and Richmond area, or the Docks, etc.

College street has some really cool bars west of Bathurst, but they aren't meat markets per se. They are pretty laid back places.

If you want the 30 something crowd, you could try Laid on Adelaide St., or the Beer Market on the Espanade, or Easy and the fifth (If it is still around)

Oh yeah, there's always the good old fashioned Irish Embassy not too far from the Royal York actually at Younge and Wellington. Always a pretty interesting place, nice chicks. I would start there I think.

Actually, not being familiar with Toronto the babes reviewed in TERB might be an easier solution than working a bar or local hangout.

The Easy and The Fifth is a good choice,if on thursday it is best to get there before 8 or it is next to impossible to get in because there is a line up down the alley way and they let their members and regulars in first,a celebrity spot,and it only holds max.640 people,friday and saturday they only open at about 9.friday is the easist night to get in.I know all this because i used to work there.It gets really busy after 11 and it is on Richmond street at duncan

You may also want to try "My Apartment" ...... I believe it is the same area as Easy...but the addy escapes me right this second. Croc is really spotty - the last time I was there it was all women no men

Yes even a workin' girl needs a night out to play sometimes......
