what do people use these days to download music? i use to use napster...obviously we know what happened with that...help plz =)

2) Go to Mininova.org to find a torrent and then use Azureus (Vuse)

but not that safe (torrents) anymore...

I don't screw around anymore with free mp3s... Bearshare you can't remove from your computer unless you wipe your HD clean, LimeWire is a virus, torrents take up ooodles of time and have crafty new viruses that get past your detection software...

iTunes (popular music) or eMusic (cheap alternative for indy music)

This is another reason I switched to Linux.
Those worries do not apply to a Linux OS....;)

Now is mainly iTunes for me , and the occasional CD's from Amazon.ca or second hand shops.

I hope iTunes Canada will catch up with their US counterpart regarding their library soon. In states they have much more selections.
