Ok there was a PEACEFUL rally, march protest in support of Regis. I'm happy it WAS peaceful considering whats exploding in the US as I write this. I have to ask though WHERE was the rally, protest march etc for Dimarijo Jenkins a young black rapper who was shot and killed by a 17 year old black youth. Seems black on black crime nobody but the family gets upset.
Before you yell racist my BEST FRIEND of 55 years is black and does NOT support the craziness going on in the US right now but is afraid it will worsen.

Trying to even equate the two situations is ridiculous.

Because one is a suspected abuse of power. There is a difference between both crimes.

For the record, I am not saying that I believe that police threw her off the balcony. But that is what it is about. The abuse of power.

I think murder is murder in the eyes of the law. However, there is a segment of society that believe being murdered by a cop, especially a white cop, is far worse than being murdered by a gangbanger.

BTW: All 5 subject officers in the balcony case have now been interviewed.

Well police are paid by our tax dollars (black citizens pay taxes too) to serve and protect, not kill.

Once again with the false equivalence. You'd think seemingly intelligent and educated people would know the difference between the two situations.

Black lives matter (actually all lives matter) but it appears some black lives matter more than other black lives. At the top of the hierarchy are blacks who died in the presence of the police.

Dimarijo's life (killed by a fellow black) is probably at the bottom of that hierarchy and no need to hold a protest. What has happened is that in cases where an innocent is killed in the crossfire, they will hold a quiet vigil but no massive protest or demonstration.

Kyle Lowry asked what should he tell his kids. He should tell them that they are much more likely to be killed by a black man than by a police officer.

I'm not sure about NBA players but several black NFL players have been killed and all or almost all their killers were also black.

Houdini was in the streets and glorified that lifestyle in his music. There is a present problem with Toronto rappers beefing with eachother which is why upcoming acts like Pressa, Killy, Jazz Cartier etc have left the city (probably not the only reason, but Pressa's life was in real danger while being here).

I don't know how you don't get that police are supposed to serve and protect, while "opps" do the opposite. The police are supposed to stop those types.

funny how the BLM bullies, the antifa thugs, the red guards and the slogan shouting parrots are all saying Korchinski-Paquet was killed by the police. Meanwhile no witness, not even the family is saying she was thrown from the 24th floor

Safer for them and safer for innocent bystanders as well.

How were all those cops not able to stop her from going over? That's the question. I'm sure you don't care if the police acted negligently or not.

Love how you throw in that you have a black friend.

Sorry but there is a huge difference between one criminal killing another criminal and (the very slim possibility in this case) that the police killed someone.

what I read :
they were taking her away, as she was the one with the knife.. she asked to go to the washroom before they took her, they accepted, but instead she went to the balcony and tried to flee by jumping to the neighbors balcony... if you see a picture of the building this won't sound too stupid, basically two suites shares the same floor's balcony and there is only a small frame that separates them; it is totally possible to go from suit A to suit B, but I woulldn't try it on a 24th floor

About her death: I care as much as I care about that Chinese parkour artist "Wu Yongjing" who died similarly; just a tiny bit, very little.

the blame and the responsibility for her untimely death goes to her; may she rest in peace

Death by misadventure. Happens to white people as well but white people don't hire a lawyer and go crying to the media. i think there are actually folks out there who believe the cops picked her up and threw her over the balcony because she is black. The same folks who believe Smollett when he said he was assaulted by a couple of white dudes and they tied a rope around his neck.

They need to get rid of balconies or enclose them.
