How easy or difficult would it be for them to cross
the border and drive all the way to Mexico? Perhaps
they may stand a better chance to survive by driving
up north to Alaska.
Now that they have been identified as suspects they won't be able to cross at a regular border crossing without getting caught, they're names are no doubt flagged in every police database from here to Mexico. They're only hope would be to get across on some off the map dirt back road with no customs checkpoint and then switch cars as they're licence plate is also flagged.

I heard they're both 6'4" tall. They can't be hard to spot. They'll likely need money, gas etc. to keep moving and just survive. While I hope they're found and we get some answers, I can't help but think they'll be free men before they're 45 years old. I hope they kill themselves. Seriously!

I can't figure out what they were waiting for on
the roadside when they declined the offer of help
with their broken van from a driver passing by. Doesn't
seem like they had called for towing.
The one guy that stopped to help them said the guy said the van was flooded and they would just wait it out. The guy who stopped was a mechanic. and said the guy seemed to know what he was doing.

If they did it I hope them meet a hungary polar bear. It least their lives won't be a complete waste.

RCMP confirm they were in Gillam, Man. which is weird because if you look that town up on google maps its basically a dead end street (or highway).

Maybe they are lost??

On Monday evening, RCMP recovered a vehicle in the Gillam area after receiving a report of a vehicle fire. We can now confirm this vehicle is the same vehicle the suspects were travelling in. #rcmpmb

Update: Asswipes 19-year-old Kam McLeod and 18-year-old Bryer Schmegelsky are now charged with one count of 2nd degree murder for the death of Leonard Dyck of Vancouver. Police can now confirm he was the man found dead July 19, 2019 at a Highway pullout about two kilometres south of the vehicle fire south of Stikine River Bridge on Highway 37.

This story is just too much.

They need to be caught. They will be caught but we will ever really know why these teens went and did this. I doubt it.

Here is a very odd turn in the the story: https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/fathe...on-intends-to-die-in-police-gunfire-1.4521223

In this article, the father of one of the accused (Schmegelsky) talks about what might have motivated the killings and apologizes for not doing more to prevent it. This is very strange on a number of levels. To list just a couple:

1. Did the police actually share all their evidence with the father that pointed to his son as the perpetrator? That's not what police do in the middle of an investigation. If not, how has he already accepted that his son did this? The family of the other accused reacted in a much more normal way - wanting their son to return home so that they could get his story.

2. He seems so sure that his son's mental illness could lead to murder, yet he never called the police to warn them.

There's something more to this story here. I'm guessing that Schmegelsky's father knows more than he's admitted thus far.

Apparently, both are trained survivalists. If they are anywhere near as good as Eric Rudolph it could take some time before they are caught.

"He spent more than five years in the Appalachian wilderness as a fugitive, during which time federal and amateur search teams scoured the area without success."

#BREAKING: @rcmpmb say it is possible #Schmegelsky and #McLeod could have changed their appearances—and that a third party could have unwittingly assisted them in fleeing #Gillam, where they were last seen. @rcmpmb urging that person, if they exist, to come forward. @GlobalBC

I doubt this guys are up in that area of Manitoba. I know the area and it's very unforgiving terrain. Very unlikely that they were lost, there is just one road that goes up, actually Manitoba only has about four or five roads, they call highways over there that go North.

But if they saw the story of the Mad traper, they could want to have that adventure, or they are simply misleading police and are long gone from the area.

There where much better places to hide in Alberta or BC, or Northern Ontario, our country is just huge, why pick such an unforgiving terrain, with not much resources.

There's now a second search area (York Landing) 200 KM south of Gillam. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

How long would they be able to "live off the land"?

I think they will be found around the first major snowfall.

OTOH, the two neo nazis can't stay there forever. They have to come back to civilization at some point.

If you have the right gear you can survive for quite a while. You would need:

1. weapons
2. mosquito nets
3. fishing gear (lots of lakes around there)
4. water purifying tablets or water filter
5. lighter or matches (which they obviously have or they wouldnt have been able to torch their SUV)

Of course when winter sets in you're pretty much fucked
