Hey Azyleoo, nice info and memory shoot. I personally do not remember a strip joint called Ruby's. The old original Coronet was at the corner of River and Victoria, not King and Victoria. Ahh,the memories.

The Manor in Guelph sucks period. If it was mine, I would shut it down and turn it into a MP. That is what they really need in that area is a REALLY good MP service...like the ones in Toronto. Unless there is something I am not aware of.

I always wondered about the Manor in Guelph that...is it a hotel as well? Because the parking lot is often full...seems it might be...shrug.
Not always. I've said it before the Manor of the mid-90's was spectacular. Better than any Toronto area SC. Lots of women from Quebec and Europe as well as homegrown talent. Always full and with no less that 35-30 hot dancers on a Thurs-Sat night. I firmly believe that the MP business in Guelph has really hurt this place. Too much value out there to spend it on strippers. Also the talent pool became extremely thin. And the management seems to have gotten very greedy with their fees and seem to be trying to squeeze blood from a stone these days.

Yes...I was actually giving directions to it, not its location in a general way.

It sure is located at River and Vic...same as old Coronet.

Very true about the MPs and the Manor. However it is a failure on the strip club industry to react competitevely against MPs, SPs and the over priced VIPs and overpriced dances. Given the whole range of services, I really believe until Dancers begin charging $10 a dance, they will continue to decline.

As a side note, Fairbanks Hotel in Toronto is $10 a dance.

I think the Manor also needs to re-think their prices on booze, forget charging entrance fee at the door, and forget the fee to the V.I.P. room. You could very easily blow $50 bucks or more before even getting a dance! With all these extra charges, how much have you got left to get a girl dance for you? And in my opinion, I think it is mostly greed on the part of management!!

Aren't we forgetting the "Kent Lounge" at the Huether hotel in Waterloo? Ideal place for a lunchtime show. It was just the strip show however - no lap dances. It "went straight" about ten years ago.

Can anybody here help me? Wasn't there (years ago) a strip joint for a while somewhere around the corner of Block Line and Homer Watson?

Indeed there was a SC at the location you mention, I can't remember the name, either. A beer store is now at that location.
The place was called O'Brien's(sp?) I broke my strip club cherry there as an underager at 18. Still have the polaroids from that night :D

Huether hasn't had dancers for about 3 years now.

Barry bought the Network after Drago died, and turned it into Roxxannes. He then moved Roxxannes from Waterloo to the current location in Kitchener.

Roxxannes use to be the Coronet.

The Coronet was originally at Victoria and River Road.

When the owners went their own way, Barry moved the Coronet to the current Roxxannes location. Irv opened up O'Brians in the south end of Kitchener.

O'Briens lost their lease after 5 years and had to move to Waterlooo where it became the Network.

In a house...
Roxxannes

Does Roxxannes still have amateur night on Monday nights, and what is it like now? (Last comments were from over a year ago...)

I remember the Coronet, Breslau, Network days quite well. I also remember Ruby's quite well. Ruby's was never a strip club. It was a night club, disco, DJ, in the basement of Waterloo Motor Inn. This was in the days before Revolution and Stages which spelled the end for it. It was still a good place to meet girls back in the day.

Yes still there on Mondays, overall nothing special but a good time with the right friends/company. I personally find wet t shirt night on Wednesdays far more enjoyable.
I like Wednesdays better too. Far less crowded and you usually are able to find a spot in pervert's row :D

Within the last 6 months, I have driven past the intersection where the Dollhouse used to be. I could swear that I saw a SC still there. Am I completely crazy? Anybody know?
