@SchlongConery that article is informative about the risks of HPV, but it's irrelevant to the topic at hand. A throat swab doesn't detect HPV. In fact there is no test for HPV in men, they just make an educated guess that you have HPV. Women can get HPV detected during a pap test. There is no way to detect HPV via blood, urine, semen, swab, biopsy, whatever.

There's also no treatment for HPV. Your immune system eventually fights it off on its own, but it might cause cancer first. This reinforces your point that everyone should take the HPV vaccine. In any case, HPV testing and treatment is very minimal, so it's not relevant to this thread.

You are right in that oral HPV testing is not currently available in Ontario. But clinical throat swabs for bacterial infections are common. I don't agree that you need to suck cock to get oral STI's.

As an aside and as an example of unusual infections. A previous gf kept getting UTI's whenever we had sex despite being super careful not to bring anything from the dump to the playground. She seemed to think she was allergic to my jizz. I had an idea and asked my Doc if he'd give me a Lab requistion for a semen culture. He poo-poo'd the idea but I used the magic words I mentioned above and he relented. Lo and behold I had an asymptomatic prostate infection of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Got an injection of an antibiotic (I prefer injections over oral antibiotics if available as it doesn;t fuck up my gut flora and cause me to fart. Follow up semen culture unmasked an antibiotic resistant type of e. coli infection of my prostate! Lab results recommend specific antibiotic that this strain of e.coli responds to. Only oral antibiotics for this so I took them. A month later, semen culture came back negative. That ex-gf LOVED anal and I was super aware of the (small) risk of infection from shit and ass bacteria so always washed my dick well after sex. Well it seems the bacteria managed to climb back up my dick into my prostate gland.

So, you never know when, where or how you might acquire an infection.

However, there is indeed a PCR swab test for oral HPV. Having said that, a Physican can use or prescribe just about anything off label. So for purposes of

IMO TeleTest is the real hassle free clinic. Yeah it costs extra but you get to consult the doctor and access your results online. If you could mail in your own blood and urine it would be even better!
I can also confirm - well worth the extra cost to me.
