Does anyone have any sympathy for this bully who ended up dead?

They should not have carried on for 20 blocks. That was just stupid. Eric should not have punched the teen. The teen that did the stabbing should not have had a knife and should be charged with carrying one at the very least.

I think the teen doing the stabbing should have been charged. He left, came back and stabbed someone because that person was not attacking him but someone else. That is not SELF defence.
There's nothing illegal about carrying a knife.

I didn't say they were a pair of geniuses lol.
However at least nobody was killed. Also the point being you just never know how someone will react when feeling threatened.

My question is how does this continue for 20 blocks in the Downtown area of our nations capital without police intervention?

You would think someone would have called this in or a cruiser would have noticed it.
That stretch of road is right in the heart of downtown Ottawa too. I saw an sp on that street and went to a well-known spa nearby.
However I guess even the busiest part of Ottawa must be small potatoes compared to Toronto, eh? ;)

That is not SELF-defense.

No different than a mother protecting her child.

I have a different question: since when there are 20 blocks in Ottawa downtown?

Sounds like you haven't been involved in any real beef. I bet you're very soft in real life.

It doesn't matter how long anything went on for, it's a minor difference.
By the way you call me soft yet you admit you were picked on and did nothing about it. I've dealt with worse than you have.

There should be a law against it. We should round up all the chefs, short order cooks, and Italian nonas and lock them up.
What an overly complicated solution to a simple problem. Just lock up all the knives...

Anyone else have friend that always trying to start a fight? Literally you go out with him to drink or have a good time, always end up a shitty night with bouncer/cops. Like what the hell you trying to prove? I never understand these people

Doesn't say what the driving error was, but it does say the teens pursued. Sounds like the group of teens were harassing them for block upon block, and Eric finally got out to confront them.
I wouldn't consider the guy a bully from what I read. This was an altercation that shouldn't have been escalated to the point it was. So yes, I feel sympathy.

We sure about this? I have a hard time the cops would let me walk away knowing I have a switchblade on me.
Switchblade no. But anything under I think 6 inches is allowed. They said pocket knife which describes a standard Swiss Army Knife or its like. And yes they are big enough to kill.

Yep. I can imagine a bunch of kids on electric scooters pursuing a car, but I cannot see how a car can go after several electric scooters.
