In the laboratory.
Cell phone? Had one for a couple days and then thought, 'Why the hell do I want to make myself more available to other folks?' Sent it back. So, not a cell phone sort of guy.

Moving back to landline,,,, tired on spending so much for Cell phone. I have trimmed down my cell package. I try to wait until i get home or work to make my calls.

P.S. Teksavvy is the best deal for a real landline, the resell Bell. None of the Rogers pricing BS

With apologies - what a Toronto-centric idea. There are plenty of places in Ontario where one can't get a decent cell phone signal, and broad band internet (other than by Satellite) is unavailable.

I have 4 cell phones... 2 are provided by my employer (1 mobile and 1 mounted in my vehicle- different lines and different purposes) and 2 are personal.

No land line. Haven't had one in years...

Dropped my land line for an Ooma phone. Been three months and I'm happy, happy.

Hey, do you use Ooma in Canada? If so, do you care to explain how? Do you have a US # and account?

I don't talk on my cell phone anymore... not since I found out a relative of mine that works for Motorola said that employees are only allowed 8 minutes of exposure to the transmitters each shift.

I use my cell - currently a BB for text, email only. Sold my Iphone here on terb a few months ago.

I have a land line and have no intention of dropping that service.

I have a cell phone, but I only use it when I have to (on the road for work, if I need to call someone.) I don't want to be holding a transmitter up to my head any more than I have to either.

I'm not a cell phone kind of guy. I only got one 5 or 6 years ago when work forced me to. I had avoided it up till then as I see it as an electronic leash.

I have a plan with Bell - 20 bucks a month, all you can dial long distance in North America 24/7. That's fine by me.

I have a land line, but mainly because I live in the country and have crappy cell service. I forward to the landline when I am home.

If someone wants my home phone number, I have to look it up!

Land lines are still needed for most. It gives your kids a phone to use when younger when they are not old enough to have a cell. Many people outside of T.O. who have a Toronto cell number need a landline for local calling and 911 usage.
I marvel at the people who can't go without their cell at any time. Did we really miss that much when we didn't have them? No we didn't. So when I am at home my cell if off and I cannot believe all the missed calls stacked up, you want me, call me on my home phone.

In a house somewhere
Mostly a land guy, but 2 cells in the house (daughter and spare). I don't use them, but will take the spare if I have to. I prefer not to be available when I leave the house.

Got rid of my landline. Was tired of being harassed constantly at home by telemarketers.
