Thanks to the powder, I've not had elevator problems for years. This has been an ongoing and unofficial clinical study that stems from a fateful day back in high school when the football team's equipment manager used the wrong detergent to wash our practice uniforms and there was a team-wide outbreak of "atomic" jock rash!
While I agree Cornstarch does feel better than Baby Powder (nice cooling feeling), it is a much finer powder and residual powder can work its way through fabric easily if you don't have time to let things settle before getting dressed (embarassing and difficult to explain in most company other than TERB now). If you have the time or are wearing a set of PVC undies, the Starch is worth it.
I'm not sure about the "reverse mohawk" that hedway is referring to either. Trimming the front and bottom and leaving the sideburns to provide the "oxygen barrier" seems to have inherent problems, the optical impression being the most obvious. But also, physiologically speaking, hair folicles trap perspiration and odour so, although you don't get the stickage, it may get sweaty and stinky down there.
Thanks to this thread though, the clinical study continues and I do believe that I want to try Dani's remedy as soon as possible...it may take many trials but I think it has a lot of merit. And just for clarification, notice in her witty closing, Dani referred to calling "the Doctor" not "The Doctor" meaning other than my advice listed above you are on your own!
Doc (The Doctor...not the Doctor, nor A Doctor for that matter)
