Cheapening the concept of charity
VV is a for-profit american company. They will say it is for charity and pick up at your door. They are very shrewed and saying it is for charity is not a total lie, and yes there is a connection whereby they rent the name of some bottom feeding charity (which the Canadian Diabeties Association is) and then collect things from well-meaning people. Good in a way as it diverts some material from landfill, but it does cheapen the idea of charity.
Salvation Army. They do good work, and have no high paid bureaucracy skimming money off the top.

Maybe they poor, but they have pride and good heart. I never want to hurt their pride that's why I never send used underwear or socks for them.
