You must be a person of color. You now make up 57% of the population of Toronto. Compare that to 1981 at 13%.
Can you see why white people (except for white guilt ridden liberals) are starting to get a bit upset?
How would Jamaica feel if 1 million white people were coming to live there and drastically change the demographic?
Why wait for a hypothetical Jamaica invasion? Just ask any Palestinian for their hundred year history.
You did not seriously just ask that question. How many countries have been overrun by white people throughout history? And now you are upset because the balance is shifting? Into a more fair and diverse environment?

I have a problem with people saying white people are racist just for being born. And for things that happened 100s of years ago.

Explain the very real example that our community can give in that black/brown men are denied escort services simply based on their colour and white men often tell providers they are white because they feel it leads to a girl feeling safer. This is in our own backyard and happening now in 2024. Explain to me how that is not white privilege?
As a middle aged white male, I'm aware of some of my privilege, and I'm sure there are aspects that I'm not aware of. However, This specific example, where I tell an SP I'm white and they feel safer is based on the prejudice of the SP. The SP thinks they will be safer because I'm white. I didn't do anything to create the mentality. That prejudice is pulled from the SP's personal experience and bias. I don't tell them I'm white; they ask.
With that said, of course there's white privilege. No one is looking at me when I didn't scan something correctly at the self checkout. I've been able to talk my way out of a ticket. Literally last week, I was going to see a SP in their condo and the buzzer was busted. I followed the brown guy with his kid in front of me through the locked entrance and they held the door. walked right past security and they didn't say shit. And I assumed that's because I'm a well dressed, well groomed white guy.

That is exactly what makes white privilege. It is based on other people’s bias that you as a white man get privileged.
Which is why there should be no guilt, people should just try to be aware of their own personal bias that may continue to give privilege instead of equality.

Excuse me but I asked about ALL privilege. I made a list of the common core sections of privilege and included others like Pretty privilege when it was pointed out. This thread can be about ANY forms of privilege. It is y’all that have harped on only white privilege. You guys harped on it so much my thread got moved from the lounge as a general discussion and into the political forum because of how hard some of you are going with this.
So I haven’t done a thing. Check the first post and see what I actually wrote before coming and accusing me of shit that I didn’t do.
