Don't care. He did the job he said he was going to do when the voters elected him. His personal life is his own mess.

Do you accept Rob Ford's apology?
Ontario politics truly is Twilight Zone.

Kathlynne Wynne apologies for blowing one billion dollar on gas plants, public money to help her own party in an election.

What the hell Rob Ford ever do?

Use city letter head seeking donations for his football charity? Talk about his sex life at home. Do crack cocaine?

How much crack cocaine can one billion dollars buy?

And they want him to apologized? Sorry my ass.

Ontario political Twilight Zone!

By the way, having hockey news that is important, on Canada Day, which is unofficially national beer day I believe, is a stroke of genius. Was this Bettman's idea?

Probably is, but we will still hate him for it.

I do not believe western society is fully over it anti-semitism or homophobia.

Anyways, happy Canada Day.

Associated with violent street gangs, hired a drug dealer to work at city hall, spewed a stream of racist crap that would make a KKK Grand Wizard blush, turned the whole city council against him, did drugs on the job, got drunk on the job, insulted the police chief for doing his job.

Oh, and smoked crack. Repeatedly.

It would have been nice if his apology was exclusively an apology and didn't deteriorate into some self serving campaign message.

The man admits he has been so drunk (and/or high) that it effected his job as mayor. He admits that he's said hugely offending things to and about a ton of people. He couldn't just fucking apologize?

What apology?

Same old, same old.

To be truly apologetic and demonstrate heartfelt contrition and acceptance of his misdeeds, he MUST detail his misdeeds and provide answers about as a first step on the road to redemption.

Instead is hiding in plain slight.

My thoughts. I've heard the same thing ... is this four times now ?? Then the Ford Nation whines about giving him a second chance, third chance ... etc.

If he wants to apologize to Stintz - call her person to person. It can't be a genuine apology if it is issued through the press. That is simply a sleaze PR move.

I hope Ford does recover but I need to see 4 years sober before I would consider him fit for Mayor of Toronto.

I don't know about "detaling his misdeeds". But how about answering a few fucking legitimate questions from the concerned "tax payers" he claims to be "respecting". The man had to leave work for 2 months because of shit that he's been doing behind everybody's backs that he ADMITS affected his performance at work.

Having said that, he technically did "apologize", it was just a shitty apology that was really an excuse to "re-kick-start" his campaign again.

Nope. Same old crap. Nothing's changed with this guy.

It would be nice if he'd just fuck off and leave but we're going to have to wait until he gets kicked out in October because the man has zero character or integrity.

I do not accept it. Nor do I believe he is sincere. It was a speech that had to be made so he can re-start his campaign.

Like most politicians all he cares about is retention of power.
Like most addicts he will do or say anything to hide their true intentions.

Honestly detailing the depth, breadth and scope of his misdeeds would be quite the formidable task even for the most powerful supercomputer for they are that dark, deep and endless as a bottomless pit.

However, a true, honest and forthright accounting, detailing his shady dealings in his role as mayor, his intimidation and bullying in his role as mayor and his dark underbelly in society during his tenure as mayor is a prerequisite for political redemption, notwithstanding an honest accounting of his personal, familial and societal litany of disgraces.

And yes, this does require an honest, forthright and total response to questions regarding such. However, as we know with this disgrace of a human being, such will never be forthcoming.

Ford didn't do anything with public funds like the libs did, he's apologized for his actions and gone through rehab - hopefully for his sake as a new man. That said, I still wouldn't vote for him. Politicians should inspire confidence, not pity. Unfortunately, most politicians today do not inspire confidence either...I think TO is fucked with the choices we have.

The real question it appears to me is, if you can vote in the Toronto Mayoral Election do you plan to vote for Rob Ford?

Since in any real sense I wasn't offended i.e. I don't work with the mayor, he didn't personal insult me etc. . . accepting a public apology isn't the issue.

The Liberals got reelected so the public has told them "all is forgiven"

BTW DEMOCRACY WATCH is all over the Fords for possible influence. Peddling.

Your mayor lied to you. If you support him, you've likely defended him to friends and family (and they've likely thought you were a moron).. Trust me, he owes all of his supporters a big apology.

If I found out one of my friends was a Rob Ford supporter then I'd lose a shit ton of respect for them as a human being.

That is still low level, bush league antics.

The guy is not in the Ontario Liberal party league of wrong doing and denial.

Where's the apology from the Liberals!

One billion on gas plants, not including the other stuff, list too long to recount.

Twilight Zone!

More of the same to come!

Ford Nation, large numbers are in the closet, like they are gay.

They vote in silence, for obvious reasons! :p
