Do I really look like an SP?

I don't think my outward appearance is that of an escort at all...or maybe it's a vibe I'm giving off?

Lately I've had a few experiences where men have 'approached' me. About a month ago, I was sitting at a bar waiting for a friend and was making small talk with this guy - he then told me that he was looking for a 'companion' for the evening. When I told him I wasn't an escort (a lie of course, lol) he apologized and said he thought that I was.

I've also had men make comments in hotel elevators (like "can you come to my room when you're done?"). And the other night, I had a cab driver offer me a $100 for a blowjob.... to which I declined of course.

I dress fairly conservatively and think I am usually discrete. Ladies, does this ever happen to you? Or maybe SP'ing is so much more common nowadays that guys assume any attractive woman is "for sale". Am I just being paranoid?

..then you might try getting the opinion of someone else (perhaps a 3rd party who has no reason to be anything but honest with you) as to whether you really dress conservatively and / or age appropriate.

Another thing is...and I am not EVEN TRYING TO saying this or my previous point are "fair" or "right"...if you ALWAYS look "put together"..there might be some assumption as to why.

I can't imagine ASSUMING a woman was an SP though...but I have to admit I have thought it several times over the years....and yes, it has been most often in hotels (woman alone, not in business dress, but dressed well...why?)

I was in Vegas recently and approached 3 times in the Mirage bar and casino. Is my appearance that of a john ? :)

I think it's also the situation.

It's rarely looks. It's the way you carry yourself. I have never met you so I don't know.

But, if people are approaching you on a regular basis and you are not wearing suggestive clothing then you've "Got it". And as you are an escort I say "You, go girl."

The guys asking you probably recognized you as an sp or maybe it was more your actions than how you dressed...

I think that happens to most ladies - whether they are in the industry or not

I simple comment such as 'I'm looking for a companion for the evening' wouldn't be taken as anything more that a polite way to ask a lady for a traditional date - unless you were in the industry. I think a number of gentlemen are unsure as to a ladies status, and use that sort of line on anyone they are interested in. As for the cab driver - he just sounded like a jerk.

In my experience if I see a single woman sitting in a bar for any period of time, checking her phone or bberry and giving off an air of confidence I am usually right in assuming she is a working girl. I go back to an experience in Vegas at Bellagio where there was a girl sitting in the bar and was approached by a number of men. They all were rebuffed. I was sure she was a working girl as she kept checking her Bberry. After about an hour (I was there really only to watch the stage act) she came over to me and said my stare was burning a hole in her back. I laughed and apologized - and offered her a drink, she sat down and 3 drinks and an hour of small talk later I admitted that I though she was working the bar. She then told me she was but the guys that approached her were losers and didn't want to pay the price. When I asked her the price she said well it was 2:00 am and she hadn't had anything that night so she said $500 for an hour. She was a $500 girl but I offered her $350. She agreed. Well the hour turned into the night. We got up around 11:00 and after roomservice breakfast she asked me how long I was gong to be in Vegas - I told her two more nights. She said if I wanted she would be glad to spend the rest of my trip with me for $3000 total. I explained I would be working all day and had to entertain clients at night but I would be happy to have her as arm candy - after I told her the restaurants and shows we were going to the number became $2000 total and we sealed the deal. Later that day when I got back to the room she was there with drinks ready and clothing she thought she might need for the next couple of days.

Sorry I got off track here but the point was if it looks like a mushroom, tastes like a mushroom it must be a mushroom.

Yes, I think the cab driver was just a jerk and I was probably not the first (nor will I be the last) female fare that he's done that to.

As for the guy looking for 'a companion for the evening', he actually was quite specific about what he was looking for (and that he was willing to pay). I was just wording it nicely. lol

Borat says "Very nice, very nice! How much?" :D

Seriously though, the only times I would assume a girl was 'working' would be:

A) If she was riding elevators in a hotel on a weeknight at 1am in a miniskirt, revealing top, with perfect hair and makeup, carrying a bag bigger than a purse but smaller than a suitcase, and who had a BlackBerry. Too neat to be back from a club/dinner out, no luggage to be checking in, etc.

B) If she was alone at a hotel/casino bar late at night not really drinking and dressed as above, checking her BlackBerry frequently.

Chloe,

Although we have never actually met, I did see you at a Hamilton party a few years back, and you struck me as a very attractive & classy lady.

I venture to say that this guy's willingness to approach a woman he doesn't know is an SP & offer to pay her says more about him than it does about you.

No, you do not look like an SP.

I have had SW, MP, and SPs of all sorts and ages. Many look likethe sort and many do not. In your case the dead give away was the cash register next to the bed!

It's been good to know ya
Maybe a few locals have seen you outside and have seen your website. Next time ask them do you ask this of all the girls you see and like and if not what would make you ask me this? If I were you I would be curious to know why.

Well Chloe, I *have* seen you, and with your girl-next-door looks, I'm frankly astonished that you had those encounters. Must just be a run of bad luck with out-there guys.

This is what an SP looks like :

http://www.victoriajolie.com/victoria.html

and I mean it in a totally complimentary sense . I imagine Victoria gets lots of attention if she's sitting alone in a bar .

For women that don't possess the characteristics of the stereotype I think it really is about the self confidence and the eye contact . In Toronto very few woman look like SP's. I've never been to Vegas but I would imagine the stereotype can be found in any permissive hotel bar.

I met the beautiful Miss Croft at a couple of TERB parties and she can easily pass for a professional woman (you know what I mean) or businesswoman. If I didn't know better, I would have thought high school teacher.
