Just curious as to why a provider may switch to a do not review policy after what seems to be glowing reviews? Is it to avoid one bad review that might hurt business? Curious to hear from both perspectives.

Sometimes you don't want to expose the finer elements of your business to all parties of interest. Also no one's identity is truly hidden in this industry, would you want those details in the public eye until the end of time?

I have to agree with this. A lot of great independent providers have told me that they get fake bookings from other girls. So that they get their schedule filled up and stood up. Sad but true.
some girls have thicker skins and know when it’s a fake. However that goes both ways.

Wondering about Terb rules on this. If I have an experience to share with a DNR lady, can i post that and tell ppl to DM me if interested? It would not be a review correct?

aside from the obvious (not wanting negative reviews to be seen or other damaging info eg drug use, no show, scam etc) there are fake negative reviews from competing SW, and the YMMV factor = if a client see so and so did such and such then he assumes it will be so with him and that the totally wrong assumption to make. So reasons vary a lot

Personally I don't like the DNR concept. This goes against what was that site about. Avoiding other hobbyist bad experience.
An part of the hobby fun is so see new lady's once in a while so seeing only the few known lady's on that board become like seeing your
own "wife"/"gf".
And with the current state of there is on LL these days, having a good exp when you toft is like finding a unicorn. lol Good luck and do not forget buying a lottery ticket after...

Also, from what I have experienced and read, most of the DNR are asking to be on DNR because they are mostly not providing good sessions...
(what ever any white knight of this board will surely argue)

I thought about posting my views along similar lines but figured the backlash wasn't worth it, but since you opened the can...

It really is against Canadian values too, and seem to even go against what even the ladies want. They want sex work to be legalized, or at least decriminalized, and to operate in a free market within a free society, and for them to receive all the benefits and rights that other workers receive, right? Well, reviews are part of a free market in a free society now. If you would like to control what people can and cannot say about their own experiences, I suggest you live in a country where free speech is not valued, like China. If you don't want people reviewing your services, don't provide them to the public. Not to mention, reviews practically run markets now and are a main factor in consumer decision making. Ask any advertising firm. Reviews matter and people should be able to review whatever they want, within reason, in a free society. Reviewing an escort on an escort review board seems reasonable to me.

Free speech does not mean you get to say whatever you want in any venue with no consequences. Never has meant that. It only means that you are protected from being punished by the state for saying things.

So, do you think that the government is monitoring TERB, and will punish you for violating a DNR? No? Then invoking the concept of free speech is irrelevant to this thread. A private web forum is holding you to the rules that you voluntarily agreed to in order to participate. You do not have free speech here, nor should you. If somebody went on a discussion forum for a children's TV show and started posting erotica do you think that their posts should be protected by 'free speech'? Or do you think that the people providing/paying for a private discussion platform are entitled to decide what does or doesn't get discussed there?

It's such a small percentage of SWs who even *have* a DNR policy in place that you guys are totally telling on yourselves with this thread. You're just incapable of respect/empathy. The mere fact that someone would ask not to be reviewed drives you crazy (even though I doubt any of you have even booked a person with a DNR).

Certain uninformed people do not understand the concept of free speech.

Your comparison of DNR here yo erotica on children's tv show makes no sense. There is no place for erotica on a children's tv show and viewers aren't tuning in to see erotica on a children's tv show. But this is an escort review board sp providing reviews fits the purpose and intended audience.

I will agree with your comment that it is the mods right to censor their board how they choose as it is their board, but they should understand that allowing a DNR policy is counterintuitive to their purpose as a review board. Though the previous comment that the purpose of this board is for SWers to promote themselves may have been said young in cheek, it really isn't that far from the truth. The SWers are the ones paying the bills so that this site makes money, and the reviewers are along for the free ride!

Conundrum.
Some ladies don't want the deets...cuz if she happens to do something w one client she may not want others to know, otherwise they'll all demand it..
Or, just don't want a public record of having sex w clients who paid for companionship.
Or, afraid certain deets might out them.
Or, bad experience with a reviewer.
Or, they know they don't provide as much as typical and dont want it out. (I think this least frequent).
