Divx Players

Does anyone have any divx players and how well do they work wit divx movies and does anyone create their own divx movies?

Best Divx player out right now is the LG-830. Nothing else plays more types of media.

I bought an LG-530 a few years ago based on its reviews and it played everything I threw at it. I needed another player for a rec room so I went out and bought another LG but this time it was the newer 730 since the 530 was discontinued. It wouldn't play shit. Tried many other brands that were supposed to be so great at playing divx and all sorts of burnt media but ran into problems with aspect rations or audio sync problems that couldn't be fixed. I literally waited another year to try out the newest LG player (the LG830) and sure enough, like my LG-530, it plays everything.

I agree with Tyle I have an LG -530 and an LG-830, , the 830 was like 49 bucks a little while ago, they are both great palyers, they play everything you throw at them

Walmart has the Phillips DVP 642, (probably data1960's 'cheap Phillips'), for about $50. It plays .mpeg, divx, .mp3, and xvid, in addition to DVDs. I have found some xvids that play fine on the computer don't fare too well on this machine, but if they are re-encoded to divx 5, they work well.

I use Dr Divx to make divx 5 videos. There's a free 15 day trial version, but a full version with serial crack is pretty easy to find on p2p.

my bad i meant ps3 and i didn't read that it will come with updates, i thought it was a hardware thing as well as software.
