I was in denial once. It's quite dirty, but the view of the pyramids is striking.

Even if something in his life is going on, I am still a paying customer & would either like a refund or what's mine. I payed for the site & it's mine. I feel sorry for him when he get's slapped in the face with a law suite from my friend. I called his phone & he does check his message's, because his phone clearly stated "Hi it's Dave & it's Saturday", so he is obviously getting my message's. So now I am screwed out of having any change's to my site & I am just suppossed to put up with that? Like I said in my previous post, which was DELETED that Dave is a nice guy but what he's done to me & other's by dicking us around is terrible & very unprofessional.
I'm still waiting to hear from Jesterz why he can't edit the site. But it would have helped if your hotmail account would accept email messages from me. Several times I tried to get you a copy of the site as it sat on ther server for both sites, but the emails kept being returned as undeliverable. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the source photoshop files not being included which typically aren't included in the fees for a completed web site as it would give license to recreate and distribute altered versions of a design without royalties. I'll probably find a way though to get a copy of them with flattened layers to him for use that would allow him to edit the site layout. Both yours and your friend's site are pretty much straigt html with one or 2 simple php scripts.

Your friend should remember that when he first contacted me in Sept 2003 to create the original site and wanted it done within 14 days and it was explained that it would need to be paid for up front, then consequently when I came for payment he had 1/3 of the fee and then dissapeared for 12 months then offers to pay the outstanding balance and want a redesign which he offered to pay separately for.

If I had waited for your payment to arrive on your domain name, it'd be already bought up by a search company and I renewed it for you so you would not lose it. You are near impossible to reach by phone, and even harder to meet in person without many cancellations due to your busy schedule. I think it took about 3 weeks to meet up last time you had a payment for hosting on the site.

Once I hear back from your webmaster on the issues why they can't edit hte site I'll work with them to remedy the situation. There's more to the story but it's not worth explaining nor is pertinent.

That was my point Paul, hense I think that being a paid advertiser is helping in this thread.

I didn't want to say this, but I have taken over webmastering of 2 sites from dave, Jenna has her complaint, Paige just posted she has or is getting new webmaster because Dave doesn't have the time, so there are at least 3 situations, but no one is allowed to hear about it.

I love Dave, I used him years back before anyone even really knew him, I promoted his services for a very long time, but like Paul, I can't reffer anyone to him anymore either. People should know the truth, would TERB really allow a known B&S to promote here because they paid for an ad, would TERB allow threads to be deleted of them pulling their B&S's, I don't think so, so what is the difference here.
With the 2 sites you took over there was a whack of self serve options that the customer could have done the updating themself instead of making the requests. But schedule conflicts on both our parts made it impossible to meet up and give them a tutorial in person. I still have the code to the site if you want to use it. But in the end I suppose I'm acountable for the upkeep of the site until such time as the owner is trained on the administrative layout options of their site while they are still my client.

As far as Paige goes, we've discussed the trasfer of the webmastering duties. And to stop rumour before they start I'm happy to see that she's found someone else as my involvement in helping her site has caused a lot of problems for me which, now that she's found someone else, has lowered my stress level (and the amount of phone calls, letters and e-mails regarding legal issues and content) and accountability for her site and it's actions/conversations.

That's not a problem as I explained earlier in the thread. He was able to retrieve all of the data for Jenna's site.

All he needs are the PHP scripts and the database for the other site and he's good to go.

I've emailed the zip file to Jesterz that I've been trying to get to Jenna which has everything that you'll need.

The thread was never deleted it was saved, somewhere else .
I said I would put it back if and when Dave chose to respond to it.
Have you considered the fact his services were contracted for a certain period of time. Ofcourse I will take the banner down once I have heard back from him. My goodness, don't you think you've chewed this one to death ?
Aha! We alway knew there was a deleted threads repository that you were keeping hidden!
