Just booked my trip to the K-W area this summer via NY state. I'm from the west coast. I was trying to figure out how to drive from the Rochester area to K-W. I did a little goggle and yahoo map searches. Both search engines tell me to drive to Burlinton on QEW then zig-zag to HWY 6 toward Guelph, then west bound 401, then HWY 8. On the map, however, it seems like I can just drive through Hamilton and take HWY 8 directly to K-W. What is the best way? Thanks.

I am looking forward to meeting so many nice ladies who have been reviewed extensively on Terb and sharing my experience with guys who are active on the board.

The search engines are right, much faster, better roads.

HWY 8 is the slow way - goes through too many small towns. Take the QEW to the HWY 403 Hamilton exit. Go to HWY 6. Take it to 401 then the HWY 8 KW exit. That is the fastest way to get there from NY.

I've always found that QEW to Hamilton, then Hwy 6 North to 401 then 401 West London to Kitchener take Hwy 6 again (Hanlon Exprswy - Guelph) North then take Hwy 7 West to Kitchener - if you do it in the middle of the day you end up in downtown Kitchener pretty fast. Just my two cents. Plus the bonus is if you have the time The Manor is at the Hanlon/Hwy 7 intersection :)

Thanks for the tip

Now that I've got useful information regarding how to get to K-W from NY, I won't have to do the unmanly thing when I travel in the summer: asking for direction. I've got a pretty good plan in terms of whom to see when I am in town; plan A to plan ....No, no, I'll stick with the few good names that I've learned from reading in the board. I'm sad to learn that Daisy will be leaving town soon for another school. I wonder if I offer her an independent study, an intensive one, with me if that's enough to keep her in town for a little while. :) Thank you guys for the tips.

When travelling to do your hobbying, the number one item to purchase after a cell phone is a GPS! After having one for the last year I would never be without it. My kids even named it Roxxxy because of the female voice in it. GOD if they only knew who I think of every time they say "thank you Roxxxy"!!!!

What you really need is one of those trip-planner Google maps showing all SC's and MP's along your way. Then you plot your route from one to the next, based upon Terb reviews.

We expect a complete review of course. :)

trip planner

A while back, I saw someone who posted all, or most, of the massage parlors in the greater Montreal area in Merb. It was quite impressive in that you only need to click on a particular mp on the list, then it will show you the exact location in a three-d format, the phone number, and the mp's website, at least that is how I remember. I just did a little search on merb, but I can't find it any more, but you get the idea. Suppose I compile something like that for sp in the area, I can imagine two different reactions: cheers and boos. Cheers from newbies like me who need a "map," and boos from people who want to keep it discreet. Being discreet is good for everybody. That's probably why the post in merb is no longer available.
