It’s an honour system. If you’ve applied, they give you the $ right away. They’ll later work on who actually qualifies and who doesn’t. Those who don’t will be left owing thousands of dollars.
For most SWers, that shouldn’t be the case.
I guess this will help those who are in need currently.
Hopefully the ones receiving help can plan ahead and work things out on repaying things once pandemic passes.
I also expect the taxation % on this would be higher than regular income earned come next year.
All a SW has to do is declare at least 5000$ as net revenue in 2019 and she's eligible. Canada Revenue Agency doesn't give a shit how you earned your money, all they want is that you declare it and be taxed accordingly.

Looking at the eligibility and phoning myself I am surprised at how restrictive the eligibility is. I get the feeling that it is more lenient then they let on and when it's time to check whos eligible in a couple months a lot of people can make their case, but I really worry for SPs. I don't think it'll be that easy for them.
