1000 people get exposed to virus. 30+ based on varients and typical population. Plus the long haulers who survive and people who spend a month plus in misery in an ICU but I am sure you don't give a fuck about them.
1000 vaccinated people get exposed to virus. Only 60 actually get sick. on a typical population with variants 2 or 3 die. Oh but wait, when vaccinated people get sick they die at a lower rate so actually of those 60 you might get 1 death.

Also while we are at it, the purpose of a vaccine isn't to allow you to go to some concert in another country, it's about keeping you and the people around you safe or safer.
The AZ isn't as good as the mRNAs but they still are effective and at the time we didn't have anywhere near enough vaccines to go around.
Also you have no real understanding of why the AZ wasn't accepted for AMERICAN concerts. The FDA never approved it and with enough home grown options never really needed to.

I took the first shot of AZ. I will take a second of Pfizer or Moderna. So I don’t think I will be effected by this personally. The possible travel issues that is.

But I don’t feel duped at all. I’m glad I took it when I did. And I’m happier that I get a mixed dose to be honest. I may have better protection the others who got double doses of another vaccine.

I'm glad that you are happy, being positive is 50% of success. You have a choice now for your second jab. I guess the ones who actually got 2 Astra jabs might not feel the same way as you though.

He is asking you to consider two scenarios - vaccinated and unvaccinated. Just like your original post.

In a vaccinated world, this is how the probabilities work - a lot fewer die.

Right. The first is talking about the percentage of people who do not die after being infected.
The second is talking about the percent of people in the vaccinated group vs the unvaccinated group who didn't get infected in a clinical trial.
Those are not the same things.

without seriously offending people. You have to admit that i'm not the worst one here, some are wishing that others get sick or even die and no one seems to care much about that.

If you want to take issue with the government; have at it but that has nothing to do with us who felt comfortable taking the AZ or any other vaccine.
