The study for those like me who would rather read the paper than hear some youtube personality interpret it. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1673852721003738 It does admit that the most popular theory is a chronically infected person with a compromised immune system. Their analysis of their results is beyond what I can argue but if this is being taken seriously I would expect testing of mice in the original outbreak area could help build evidence for it.
