Did Ned Yost just make the stupidest move ever?

The KC manager pulled his ace in the sixth inning after he gave up a single and a walk...to bring in a young fireballer.....and the kid got crushed. The Royals traded their best prospect to get James Shields who has pitched out of many jams. And when they needed him to be "the guy" the manager pulls him....Royals fans will be talking about it for years.

Can any one think of a dumber move?

It was a very-dumb move. I do feel bad for Kansas (though I was cheering for both of these teams).

Kansas fought so hard to get here ~ what a disappointment for them.

While it's still not over, I agree with Nad...unless Shields said he's out of gas, which would be an absolute shock.

Excellent game. KC looked like an NL team playing small ball to perfection. 7 stolen bases of which 5 came around to score.

Jason Frasor in his first playoff game gets the win even though he gave up the go-ahead run in the top of the inning.

I missed the final inning but WOW ~ that game was fantastic! The Royals had 7 stolen bases?! Wow.

I have no complaints about Kc advancing - they worked hard to earn it.

I think I'm gonna just cheer for Kansas. They're fighting and I'd like to see them scrap to the WS. Every baseball guy I heard predicted them to be swept in this series.
