For Covid infection in Canada, 7.5% were hospitalized.
And among the hospitalized, 18.7% requires ICU admission.
For those infected, 1.9% would die.
That's shockingly high number for an infection.
A virus which caused 74,484 hospitalization, 13,960 ICU admissions and 26,841 deaths in Canada, and over 621,000 deaths in US "does nothing"?

The infection fatality rate is not known but it is way lower.
A lot of people didn't even know they had it.
If only 7.5% are hospitalized, that means most people recover on there own, and most don't get tested.

Condolences to the family but at this point there is no evidence that the death was caused by the vaccine.
There will always be some coincidental unfortunate death not related to the vaccine when we are giving 400 million doses around the world.
And vaccination is not just about preventing death. He himself maybe ok after catching Covid, but if he passed it on to his grandparents, they may not be so lucky.

Then there is the unfortunate reality of “Long Covid “ where around a third of those who contracted Covid-19 now seem to have permanent organ damage or mental health issues and are thus are disabled to some degree. Dying from Covid-19 is one thing, living on with the irreversible damage is another.
The Delta variant, the anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers , children under 12and the fact that most of the world has not been even vaccinated or exposed to Covid-19 implies that the road ahead remains rocky until the pandemic is over or at least neutralized everywhere.
