Dermatologist's Appointment

I'm wondering if anyone knows if you have to pay to see a dermatologist? I was referred by a doctor and I read online that you don't have to pay if it's referred by a doctor but I also read that they can charge $100 to $200.

You don't pay if the procedure is covered by ohip. Removal of skin tags is considered cosmetic and is not covered.

It all depends on what you are getting done and if it's considered a cosmetic or a medical procedure that is covered by OHIP.

If its a recent rash then they 'll prescribe you some cream and its covered if its a beauty thing he'll charge you. Make a list of your questions, these guys are notorious for getting you out of the room in a few minutes...
