Sure they can. It just takes daily practice and a cooperative attacker. You mean they can’t do that?

You want me to post a video on how the officer should have walked away even if he couldn't take him down? OR are you saying demonstrate how officer doughnut couldn't walk without tripping over himself?you should post a video to show us how you would have dealt with it.
You are absolutely clueless on guns, ammo and the rest. You probably do not own a pellet air gun and it reflects in your response.Bigger in my mind is one that doesn't need 12 bullets to drop an attacker. Like, after watching the video and a gun salesman asked me "would you like one of those the cop was using?" I would ask "do you have something bigger?" and he said "No. That one should be fine". I would probably say " I think I need a bigger one, just to be on the safe side".
OP is requesting Police Academy 101 videoYou want me to post a video on how the officer should have walked away even if he couldn't take him down? OR are you saying demonstrate how officer doughnut couldn't walk without tripping over himself?

Ah so it’s a training issue. So the cop could have shot him in the leg.Sure they can. It just takes daily practice and a cooperative attacker.
So what part of guns don't I get? A gun that takes 12 rounds to drop a guy charging at you at point blank range is an effective weapon? You are absolutely clueless on guns, ammo and the rest. You probably do not own a pellet air gun and it reflects in your response.
What you don't get is "cops should carry an elephant gun" . You need to educate yourself on guns, ammo and magazine capacity. Your ignorance shows well.So what part of guns don't I get? A gun that takes 12 rounds to drop a guy charging at you at point blank range is an effective weapon?
He probably used his standard issue 9mm, which is good enough to stop anyone. The guy also walked like 3 steps before collapsing so not much. It is likely the cop did not hit the heart initially which kind of aligns with the general criticism that cops cannot shoot straight. Or the guy was just lucky the first few times. Or he kept going because of adrenalin. So what part of guns don't I get? A gun that takes 12 rounds to drop a guy charging at you at point blank range is an effective weapon?
He probably used his standard issue 9mm, which is good enough to stop anyone. Not this guy as it turned out. However, duly noted your carefully thought out analysis of the trajectory and target pattern which failed to hit the heart and therefore resulted in a slower cessation of attacking speed and force thus giving the cop time to continue reasoning with the attacker while at the same time calming him down and diffusing the situation in the 5 seconds that he had to analyze the absurdity of it all. I'm sure the cop was considering all the options you presented while backing away from a stick brandishing maniac. He probably used his standard issue 9mm, which is good enough to stop anyone. None of that is an issue with the caliber of weapon used. I am no gun owner but I am told by some American friends who are, that larger calibers are typically not conducive for carry usually.
Sure show me a video of a cop walking away from an attacker. You won't find many on youtube. There are plenty of them shooting people before they have a chance to attack. Or better yet, post a video of you in a similar situation. You want me to post a video on how the officer should have walked away even if he couldn't take him down? 9mm pistol is lighter with a 15 capacity magazine when compared to a 40SW pistol therefore easier to open carry or concealed carry. Also there is less felt recoil with a 9 mm.He probably used his standard issue 9mm, which is good enough to stop anyone. The guy also walked like 3 steps before collapsing so not much. Now that is gun control. The cop has a split second decision to make, he made the right call. The attacker was obviously totally amped, how do you know he doesn`t have a knife waiting to be stuck in the cops neck, hand to hand, that cop would have been disarmed and killed with his own gun. Fuck all the bleeding heart liberal bullshit, that cop is out there to protect us from that dead shitbag. He did his job.The cop was a chubby old man. The attacker was a fucking brawny hulk in full attack mode. Walking away and calling for backup is an option conjured up in you own little world.
The attacker was far from being a frail old man. The stick was far from being a harmless stick. Maybe the cop just got bored with the conversation they were having and wanted to move on with his life.Too bad you weren't there to show us how to with this situation.
Go back and watch your favorite Italian spaghetti western movies. Maybe you can post your education videos. He probably used his standard issue 9mm, which is good enough to stop anyone. You should really show us how it is meant to be done. Because you obviously know more about it than anyone else, including the cop who was fighting for his life. Too bad you weren't there to coach him in real time.
Well at least nobody takes them seriously. As with your expert opinion.Go back and watch your favorite Italian spaghetti western movies. Maybe you can post your education videos.
Real life shooting is entirely different than in movies. This victim was on a adrenaline rush, if not one shot would have put him down. So it had nothing to do with the gun being inadequate?9mm pistol is lighter with a 15 capacity magazine when compared to a 40SW pistol therefore easier to open carry or concealed carry. Are you in law enforcement or just a Google geek ? You have an answer to all topics in every thread."Also there is less felt recoil with a 9 mm."
And less felt impact as it turns out.
"This victim was on a adrenaline rush, if not one shot would have put him down."
Apart from the clear evidence that one shot failed when it was needed, your theory that the gun was adequate holds water otherwise.
The cop's epitaph could have been "Well the gun should have worked"
