Deleting Phone Record From SP - HELP!

Any help is appreciated!

Called the number advertised... got no response and hung up. Half an hour later, I received a return call from the SP. Not cool at all! Now I'm panicking wondering how to delete the records.

Yes, I know I shouldn't call from home. Same problem with a cell though. Neve been a problem before. Now I'm in deep cucka.

Searched online for a manual for my GE 2.4MHz portable... but the owner's manual has since been removed.

Wouldn't be bad if no name showed. ut now there's a record of an outgoing and incoming call.

Does anybody have any idea how to remove this directory? I know it can be done. The spouse does it all the time.

THANKS EVERYONE!

 you can't delete someone else's call log, unless you steal their phone

the only thing you can do is block your outgoing number when making calls in the future

edit: oops, I should read better next time
if you can't figure it out, is there a maximum amount of numbers it stores in its memory? you can make like 20 outgoing calls to "bump" that number off

as for the one where the person called you, can you make a bunch of calls to yourself using your cell maybe?

If it's your phone, try pulling the battery and power. Wait about 10 to 15 minutes.

If that doesn't work, the phone has an internal backup. You will need the manual. Did you check if the manual was available on-line?

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

No luck yet.

I know that I can't alter someone else's records FB.

Kacy's idea is what I'm looking for I think. But there's no up and down arrows and I can't figure out how to access the directory where these #'s are stored.

I'll try unplugging. Looked long and hard online and can't figure out why GE doesn't make the manual available.

Still desperate. But THANK YOU all for your ideas.

Happy B-day Kacy!

any more ideas? most welcome indeed.

thank you folks!

If the memory is stored on your phoneset and not your base you could conveniently drive over it with your car saying that you dropped it on the driveway without noticing it.

Tell the wife that you dialed a wrong number and left a message by mistake. Not realizing it the wrong number you dialed. Tell her were preoccupied and the wrong number called you back thinking they missed something or someone who was looking for them.
In other words it was a screw up

Then tell her to shut up !

Let's really make this like a high school sitcom and have you go to Future Shop, but the exact same model phone, and replace it without her ever noticing!

I presume that this is advice if she asks you about the number. Volunteering the excuse reeks of "thou dost protest too loudly".

Even better if you do not mind buying a new phone take it with you when you shave and ooops it slipped in the sink. You can always say you were in the middle of shaving when someone called and it slipped out of your hands or after you hung up it fell in.

Does your SO keep such a tight leash on you that there is an investigation into every phone call that you recieve? This seems like a paranoid response to an ordinary situation. Don't draw attention to it by giving it another thought. If she does do a CSI on you just say it was a wrong number.

I would think that most married men would want to spare thier wives any pains including any suspicions. If they have reason to suspect once they may start to dig deeper and one clue could lead to another. Or even one mistake is possible when in this game so it is best to cover your tracks best you can. Women may not speak about the first time or even the second but if things start to add up together then there is problems.

Most home phones will bump off the number once you get more calls.

If it was a cell phone most cell phone carieers I know for sure Telus and Bell mobility you would get a detailed billing of the call and phone number recorded on the phone bill. that feature is great when I want to see what my boyfriend is up to.

That is why I make sure my credit card & phone bills are sent to me at work
