First one - Sorry how things turned out. I wasn’t mature enough for a relationship.
Second one - I regret meeting you, and I hope this is the only time I’ll ever see or talk to you again
Third one - you deserved a lot better than what I was able to provide. I’m sorry and I hope you’re able to move on with your life.
With girls whom I was never in a relationship but…I was intimate or close with. - I have really good memories of our times together and I still cherish them to this day.

Over the years most of the exes I broke up hard with have contacted me back via social media and we reconnected. Two to apologize for the way it happened. I'm in a really good place so I'm happy to "forgive" (I didn't need it but they did) and add positive closure to their lives. It was mostly about being young and immature. Carrying things around is just too much effort.
Hell I'm heading over to one exes place this weekend for a bbq with her SO, my SO and two other couples this weekend.
As I generally rule I just forgive shit now, and on the other end profer apologies as needed. We are all under increased stress, some alot more than others. And stupid misunderstanding happen. I'd rather just let go of it.

Years ago I was driving up Yonge Street with my SO and in front of me was a car I recognized. It was obvious she saw me in her rear-view mirror and the woman I was with. As she started to drive away when traffic started moving again, I got her Dear Ex message, a single middle finger raised out of her driver window. And to think, I thought we broke up on good terms

A little while ago, my current SO was on a store and started talking with someone working there. They are the same nationality and when she got home she told me about the person she was speaking with. She told me her name. My jaw hit the floor. It was my first girlfriend ever from high school. I had the biggest crush on her but she broke up with me. What would I say to her now? Only good things as she was a good person. And besides, I dated her sister afterwards (with her approval).

Thanks for dumping my ass all those years ago. We never would have lasted and better to have ended it sooner rather than later. It was for the best.

I am not angry, just disappointed. I really wish you'd been able to let down the walls you placed around your heart. Maybe in another life we could be all that we hoped we could be... together. I hope you find some peace and happiness, even if it is not with me. Life is too beautiful to not live. Learn to see and love yourself like I loved you. And if you need me, I will always be here for you.

I walked into a party at an apt with my present SO when we were dating. Inside were 3 exes out of the 30 people there. I had no idea(we had a large social circle) they would be there. I pre warned her(she was new to the group)
She spoke with all of them at some point. Apparently I got a good rating overall.....and ya, the boys were all laughing at my dilemma. And a few of the girls as well.
