I'm sure some like-minded clown made a similar speech when the first automobiles came out, doubting that they would ever replace the horse. Frum's mother is turning in her grave. Pineapples may not grow here, but Frum should do a little research and discover that the sun shines and the wind blows quite a bit in Ontario...of course he may have forgotten these facts as he's been in the States too long.

It is not the same. The likes of Ballard has been in operation for how many tens of years years withhout breaking even or making a profit? It will take a heck of a long time for green energy companies to berak even, let alone make a profit.

Do we have to do this on the backs of taxpayers who are already at the breaking point?

Isn't it the job of private corporations and society to bring about the changes and make green energy profictable and economically viable?

Did the automotive companies make cars profitable with the help of the government way back in the days?

When they don't do this, it is incumbent on GOV to give them a good stiff swift kick in their fat pompous corporate ARSES to MAKE them do this!

Case in point, moving them to build more vehicles that run on CNG, which N. America has more of than Saudia Arabia has OIL! They should be building the filling station infrastructure to support new CNG vehicles which could by easily ramped up by auto manufacturers in 1 year!

1. Were this done, not one drop of OIL would have to be imported!
2. The price of OIL would drop like a rock!
3. Deficits would shrink on their own!
4. Not to mention all the new jobs that WOULD be created!

Here green energy is profitable and economically viable....
