They way you bought a bike years ago, is not the same as today. You can go to Walmart and get one for $89. but you get what you pay for. In my opinion if you spend about $300 or $400 for a bike you are getting something good these days. The difference between a cheap bike and a good bike and a realy good bike is fit and finish. They are all made in China these days. Labour cost so much these days that you are better off getting a $400 bike and having it for 10 or 15 years, and then getting a new one. The cheap one sqeek and rattle as you ride them and they bend and go out of alainment. I have had my bike for 10 years and have put on about 26,000 kms on it.
