OK, all Toronto fans know how well Cujo played for the Leafs during the seasons he was here. Many were upset that he decided to leave for Detroit for a better shot at the Stanley Cup.

But, when has he stolen a playoff series in his career, or come up big when needed? Once with Edmonton over Dallas. Also, he has never won an award or MVP. Sure he is a great goalie but c'mon, he is overated. He may have played on some mediocre teams or poor performers (such as this year vs Anaheim) but he did allow some weak goals vs Anaheim and was outplayed and outshined by a little known J.S. Giguere.

I think the window of opportunity for Joseph may be closing quickly. Chelios, Hull, Larionov, Yzerman and Robitaille are old, and Schneider is a liabiltiy. Detroit will have a much more difficult time in the few seasons ahead.

Joseph is overated and not a big-game goalie! Let the debate follow......

It is amazing that some consider him in the same class as Roy or Hasek considering the leafs carried him through the first round last year. It is not a case of him costing the wings the series but rather him not being able to win the series or at least steal a game. Oh well ....now can someone tell me are Roberts and Nolan waiting for an invitation to start scoring or what?

Hey Goober, how does it make you feel that Don Cherry has picked Ottawa to represent the East in the finals?

(PS - Joseph is overated!)

Toronto fans have a fairly long history in elevating their goalies to star status well beyond what they actually merit . Other than Joseph the most recent example would probably be Potvin - who had one good season - it took 2 or 3 horrendous seasons before fans realized he was slightly below average with occasional short streaks of brilliance .

Probably due to the dirth of superstars that they have had in other positions .

I can feel myself slowly sliding down that slippery slope to the dark side where one can't help but cheer for the Sens .....biggest problem is that their fans are civil servants and pastry lovers .

I'd have no problem cheering for the Sens if it wasn't for Rod Bryden :) I like the team, but the owner, well.... at least it's not the second coming of Harold Ballard.

As for the Sens, they should have no trouble if they meet the Leafs, unfortunately. I am greatly disturbed by the fact that the Flyers seem to consistently beat the Leafs to the pucks in the corner in the Leafs own end.

As for Nolan, I'd rather see Domi on the ice. Domi might not be scoring much, but he's making an impact. Nolan seems to be sleepwalking.

It's a crime Joseph was selected to the Canadian Olympic team and actually started the first game. I can't believe this guy actually has a gold medal.

My Canucks

are down 3-1 so I'm not happy right now but I hated Joseph after he left Toronto too. Leaf fans made him out to be way more then he was and it went straight to his head.

His reflexes are slowing with age and he's too dumb to be a positional golie that plays angles. At least now he can play some golf with Mario Lemieux and Jack Wagner.
