NOTE: Please do not turn this into piercing and tattoo bash-fest thread, we have enough of those.

I've had a couple of clients request that I remove my septum piercing recently, although they are fine with keeping my ear and navel piercings in.

Providers: How do you feel about this type of request? Would you remove a piercing or piercings for a client or do you feel a client should take you for who you are or not at all?

Clients: Have you ever requested this or would you? If you requested this and the provider declined, would you forgo seeing her? Even if it was only one piercing?
It’s not something I would never ask, but piercings don’t really bother me at all (with reason of course). As others have said, if a woman had a piercing, or other body modification that I did not like, I simply wouldn’t book her.

I would take it as a compliment in a weird way. Some people are against piercings and tattoos . They probably like you and think you're really pretty, but find the piercing distracting. I like it. I was a body piercer in my 20's and its one of my favorite piercings but for some people it reminds them of someone or something (like a cow/bull) and they just can't get past it.

I moved rural and people here have more of an emphasis on natural beauty. A woman with tattoos and piercings is not something they see everyday. Most of the time it comes with a negative connotation.

Do you though. I get that its about self expression and you like it.

Its not related but it sort of is. I grow a bush sometimes and people love it or hate it. People really try to go out of their way to tell me how to wear the hair on my body like I give a sh*t about what they want. Like some guy im going to see for 30 minutes or a hr is going to dictate what I do with my body. It happened once with a high paying client but he was so ignorant about it and I should have dropped him as a client right then and there because he went on to SA me. I considered it for a minute but decided against shaving it and im glad I did. For every one person that couldn't stand it, there were more that were happy that I had a bush.

Do what makes you happy though. If I started catering to everyone that didn't like something about me I wouldn't be authentic and I wouldn't be happy.
